The region is one of the most beautiful places in France, the land of d'Artagnan and 'The Three Musketeers'.The Gers boasts an astonishing 146 chateaux, one of the largest and most imposing of which is that of Lavardens, built on a limestone outcrop. One third of modern-day Gersois villages are original medieval bastides.

Abbey Flaran to Valence-sur-Baise,The fortified village of Larressingle and Cité des Machines du Moyen-Âge (engineering in medieval times) you get to dress-up and take part in the firing of medieval weapons. The college of La Romieu and arboretum “Les Jardins de Coursiana” La Romieu. Eauze museum of Roman treasures. The pretty circular bastide Fourcés. "family friendly"

Lovely place to stay with children lots of open spaces , would recommend speaking to the owners on exploring the area , we hired bikes and found this really good fun ,local amenities not to far but would recommend a car ,we are looking at re-booking next year as the pool will be finished .

Thank you, look forward to seeing you in the summer.

"Perfect!"

I stayed in La Grange for one week at the beginning of August and I had a wonderful time. Jillian and Matthew were very welcoming and having never visited this region of France before, I found their knowledge of the area a great help during my stay. The house is in a peaceful rural setting with stunning views of the countryside however within just a short drive you can find many things to do. I visited beautiful art galleries I can't remember the name of the Abbey!, local markets, a chateau for wine tasting and spent a day at a swimming lake. The spacious accommodation is the perfect place to relax and would be suitable for couples or families looking to explore Gascony.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! Good to see that you have booked the for this summer.
