Little Marshfoot is a sleek wooden Scandinavian –style lodge that has been designed and constructed using 'green' principles. Set in the carefully tended garden of the owners' farmhouse overlooking the Pevensey Levels, the lodge is a comfortable home-from- home that was designed to minimise the environmental effect from building.

Little Marshfoot is a member of the Green Tourism Business Scheme, something the owners are justifiably proud of, along with the sustainable practices they employ in offering this delightful building for your enjoyment.

The lodge was constructed from timber sourced from a certified sustainable forest and insulated with a product called Warmcell which is treated recycled newspapers and telephone directories. Its south east facing facade with terrace is taken up almost entirely with sliding French doors that are treated to both insulate and exploit passive solar powered heating even in winter. During the warmth of the summer the lodge can be opened out well into the evening to make a wonderful indoor space that merges seamlessly with outdoor living. Little Marshfoot will sleep four in two bedrooms at opposite ends of the building, one fitted with a double bed, the other twin beds. In addition a cot and high chair can be made available for families. Both bedrooms enjoy their own ensuite shower facilities in a building that is exceptionally well equipped including a colour TV and DVD provided in both of the bedrooms.

The gardens at Little Marshfoot are planted with native plants and are designed to attract a range of birds and wild animals. Considering the setting here on the edge of the Pevensey Levels this is the perfect blend with nature.
