About the home
Set in an imposing 1890s building that was formerly a ‘school for gentleman’, this tasteful Eastbourne holiday home is airy and light with a bohemian feel.
Kent House is just off the seafront, close to Meads village shops and amenities. Eastbourne‘s theatres are 15 minutes walk away, with the main town centre just 5 minutes further.
The lounge/dining room is flooded with natural light and has Sky TV, WiFi and a DVD player, plenty of comfortable seating, and a dining table with chairs. The galley kitchen is well kitted out for an Eastbourne self catering holiday including a fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
The double bedroom is the smaller of the two bedrooms, with the spacious twin bedroom offering plenty of room for a camp bed (or travel cot) if you are a family of five. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over.
Outside you can enjoy a beautiful communal lawned area and there is also a terraced spot where you can set up a table and chairs. You will have an unallocated parking space in the building grounds, plus there is plenty of free, unrestricted parking in the street.

The South East England / Sussex region
Officially the sunniest spot in the UK, Eastbourne was voted Britain’s number one holiday-friendly destination in a survey by Virgin Money Travel Insurance.
This award-winning seaside resort nestles at the foot of the South Downs and Beachy Head, with unbeatable walking and cycling to be enjoyed. Located just 25 miles from Brighton, and 17 miles from Hastings, Eastbourne attracts almost 5 million visitors each year.
The Eastbourne / Meads area
Whether you fancy taking in a West End show or concert at Eastbourne’s fabulous bandstand, enjoying a stroll on the pier, roller skating along the promenade or even having a go at some water sports, Eastbourne can offer it all.
The charming town centre has a surprising number of excellent restaurants and a good selection of shops to while away a few hours – including a Museum of Shops. There is also the excellent contemporary Towner art gallery, plus four theatres, bars and clubs.
It’s also a family friendly resort – to keep the kids entertained, the Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway, Treasure Island and Fort Fun offer plenty of entertainment, including rides, crazy golf and go-karting, and there are bags of further attractions to visit within the surrounding region.
Our lovely clean, pebble beach has been featured on TV as exceptionally family friendly. KidzSafe waterproof identification wristbands are supplied free of charge so that parents can tag children with their mobile phone numbers. The pier offers traditional seaside amusements and if you’re trying to drag them away, Fusciardi’s ice-creams are unsurpassed as bribery!
Eastbourne has something for everyone – whether you’re looking for a traditional seaside holiday or a culture break.
Nestling at the foot of Beachy Head and by the beautiful terraced gardens and beach of Holywell Bay, Meads Village is one of the most sought-after areas in Eastbourne.
This lovely leafy district has its own village shops, hairdresser and places to eat – including the Pilot, the popular Ship Inn, which serves up excellent pub food, and the Black Cat cafe for indulgent cakes.
This is a great area to be if you want to have a quieter, more tranquil setting for your self catering holiday, yet be just a few minutes from the seafront and village amenities.
Eastbourne centre is still easily accessible – just 15 minutes walk to the theatres or around 20 minutes walk or a few minutes drive to the main town centre and shops.
