About the home

St John's Place is a spacious one bedroom holiday apartment in a large, semi-detached Eastbourne residence on a wide leafy street which leads directly to the seafront – you can see the sea from the front gate.

This period holiday home is located on the edge of the lovely Meads area of Eastbourne, which has its own village shops, cafes and pubs.

It is ideally located for those visiting St Bede's, St Andrew's & Moira House Schools, yet is also just 10-15 minutes walk from central Eastbourne and the theatres.

As the building is set on a hill, there are views over Eastbourne from the bay window in the lounge, which has comfy sofas, a big flatscreen TV and a small dining table and chairs.

The double bedroom has windows overlooking the front garden, painted white floorboards and a rustic French boudoir feel. For additional guests, one of the sofas in the lounge is a sofabed.

There is a small, separate, traditional kitchen with fridge-freezer, oven/hob and washing machine – plus plenty of pots, pans and utensils. The bathroom has a corner bath with shower over and there's a separate toilet.

Nestling at the foot of Beachy Head and by the beautiful terraced gardens and beach of Holywell Bay, Meads Village is one of the most sought-after areas in Eastbourne.

This lovely leafy district has its own village shops, hairdresser and places to eat – including the Pilot, the popular Ship Inn, which serves up excellent pub food, and the Black Cat cafe for indulgent cakes.

This is a great area to be if you want to have a quieter, more tranquil setting for your self catering holiday, yet be just a few minutes from the seafront and village amenities.

Eastbourne centre is still easily accessible – just 15 minutes walk to the theatres or around 20 minutes walk or a few minutes drive to the main town centre and shops.
