Gresham House 2-bed
About the home
Gresham House is located just 100m from Eastbourne's beachfront, with the pier, a world class yacht marina, the Arndale shopping centre, excellent pubs, restaurants and the Roux Brothers beach café amongst its nearby attractions. Hartington Place typifies the new 'urban cool' design wave that is sweeping through this traditional seaside resort.
This newly renovated ground floor holiday apartment is breathtakingly elegant and modern. The open plan living space includes a modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, cooker, etc, a lounge with large flat-screen TV with Freeview, and French doors leading to a private south-facing sun terrace.
There is a separate utility room which houses a washer-dryer, plus the controls for the underfloor heating system if evenings turn slightly chilly.
This stunning Eastbourne holiday apartment offers two bedrooms – one master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room, and one twin bedroom. There is also a sofabed in the lounge offering extra bed space, plus a separate family bathroom.
All bed linen and towels are provided, along with little extras such toilet paper, handwash, cleaning supplies and enough tea, coffee and sugar for welcome drinks.
Gresham House is a Grade II listed building and is a redevelopment of four mansion buildings built in 1864. It has been restored to enhance the building's classic, Regency architecture and as part of this the Regency stucco frontages and decorative internal arch work have been fully refurbished. The building was at one time a home for ex-mariners known as The Royal Alfred Seafarers' Society Home.

Officially the sunniest spot in the UK, Eastbourne was voted Britain’s number one holiday-friendly destination in a survey by Virgin Money Travel Insurance.
This award-winning seaside resort nestles at the foot of the South Downs and Beachy Head, with unbeatable walking and cycling to be enjoyed. Located just 25 miles from Brighton, and 17 miles from Hastings, Eastbourne attracts almost 5 million visitors each year.
The Eastbourne / Town Centre area
Whether you fancy taking in a West End show or concert at Eastbourne’s fabulous bandstand, enjoying a stroll on the pier, roller skating along the promenade or even having a go at some water sports, Eastbourne can offer it all.
The charming town centre has a surprising number of excellent restaurants and a good selection of shops to while away a few hours – including a Museum of Shops. There is also the excellent contemporary Towner art gallery, plus four theatres, bars and clubs.
It’s also a family friendly resort – to keep the kids entertained, the Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway, Treasure Island and Fort Fun offer plenty of entertainment, including rides, crazy golf and go-karting, and there are bags of further attractions to visit within the surrounding region.
Our lovely clean, pebble beach has been featured on TV as exceptionally family friendly. KidzSafe waterproof identification wristbands are supplied free of charge so that parents can tag children with their mobile phone numbers. The pier offers traditional seaside amusements and if you’re trying to drag them away, Fusciardi’s ice-creams are unsurpassed as bribery!
Eastbourne has something for everyone – whether you’re looking for a traditional seaside holiday or a culture break.
