The South East England / Sussex region
Historic Eastbourne is boardered by the beautiful South Downs on one side and Sovereign Harbour on the other. The sea front stretches to the east and west from the beach adjacent to Cambridge Road. Known as England's Sunshine Coast, Eastbourne is well located for Brighton, Hastings and Tunbridge Wells.
The Eastbourne area
Eastbourne's historic promenade is 5 minutes away and the beach stretches both east and west from this point.
To the west, the pier and town centre are 10 minutes walk away. Further to the West are the beautiful South Downs and famous Beach Head cliffs
To the east are children's attractions Treasure Island and Fort Fun (10 minutes walk approx). Beyond this is the beautiful Sovereign Harbour.
Many large events are held in Eastbourne each year, including Airbourne Air Show, Aegon Tennis tournament (held the week prior to Wimbledon) plus car shows and an annual carnival.
