Waterside is traditionally furnished. Our many repeat guests value its comfort and charm all the year round. It is equally homely both in winter and summer. The master bedroom is comfortably furnished with antique furniture - a Victorian dressing chest, bow fronted chest of drawers, a ladies' wardrobe means there is plenty of storage, no matter how short or long your stay!
There is also plenty of hanging space for clothes in the second bedroom, and in a cupboard in the hallway.
Both the ensuite shower room and family bathroom are fully tiled. The family bathroom has a small retractable line for lightweight laundry.
We offer a welcome pack for you on your arrival - so you can brew tea or coffee, or open a refreshing bottle of wine before you unpack!

Further details outdoors:
Waterside has two separate balcony areas offering sunny seating for most of the day, and is situated right on the now famous Soveriegn Harbour which is the biggest composite marina facilty in Northern Europe, which particulary in the summer months welcomes visitors from many countries including Sweden, Holland, France and Spain. The marina facilities offered to our maritime visitors are absolutely excellent! The very popular Waterfront area has a variety of restaurants,(including Thai, Indian and Itailan) plus bars and shops and is a short level walk from the apartment.
The beach (sandy at low tide) is just a couple of minutes' walk from the apartment, and there are good level paved walkways all around the harbour and along the beachfront. For the keen "non sea" swimmer there is an excellent pool at the nearby Sovereign Centre.
A good variety of shops can be found at the nearby "Crumbles" shopping centre:- Asda (supermarket) Boots (chemists) as well as "high street" clothing boutiques and a multiplex cinema.

BookThe South East England / Sussex region
East Sussex has been on the visitors' map since Julius Caesar and his Roman legionaires landed at Pevensey Bay in AD 43. His legacy lives on in the ruins of many castles and fortifications. In 1066 William of Normandy landed and following the famous battle of Hastings (actually fought on Senlac Hill, just outside the town) where he built the beautiful Battle Abbey, in the picturesque town of Battle, nearby.
Today East Sussex and Kent are beautiful Downland and Wealden farming areas, dotted with pretty villages, all with something to say for themselves in terms of their eventful history.
There are a number of vineyards in the locality, producing award winning wines. the land and climate is very similar to the Champagne area of France, and we now have wines to rival the best that France can produce!
From vineyards to castles, Downland walks to stunning sea views, Kent and East Sussex has it all!
Among the most famous castles are Dover, Hastings, Pevensey and Bodiam
Brighton:- a seaside town with a difference! Quaint winding "laynes" with a wealth of pretty individual shops, and of course the stunning Pavillion, build in the early 19th century by the Prince Regent, later George IVth, it is worth a whole day out on its own. Furnished lavishly, restored impeccably, the staterooms and private apartments are fascinating.
Kent and East Sussex offers so much more for the visitor. A LARGE QUANTITY OF UP TO DATE DETAILED TOURIST INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THE APARTMENT
The Eastbourne / Sovereign Harbour North area
Eastbourne nestles at the foot of the South Downs which is an area of outstanding natural beauty and has recently been voted the best holiday destination in England by the English Tourist Board. We have our own microclimate - more sunlight hours than the rest of the South Coast, so there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the outdoor life here. The scenery is truly lovely and the opportunities for walking range from a gentle stroll to a serious hike!
Eastbourne is a renowned seaside resort, with all the facilities that you would expect. There are three theatres with year round programmes of events, including pre-West End showings. We are very proud of our art gallery, the Towner, which holds several important exhibitions a year. We are ideally situated for Glyndbourne.
Along the 5 miles of seafront you can visit the Carpet Gardens, the Napoleonic Martello Towers (there is one on "our" beach right by the apartment) and the restored Victorian Pier with its camera obscura, as well as the tranquil Falling Sands Beach at the foot of Beachy Head.
There is lots for children to do! Drusillas Zoo is 6 miles to the west of Eastbourne on the A27 towards the beautiful County Town of Lewes, and dry slope skiing and snowboarding at Knockhatch at nearby Hailsham.
There are numerous boat trips available from the harbour including a "white knuckle" rib ride and charter boats for sea fishing. Do you have a PADDI ticket? the local branch of the British Sub Aqua club is active all the year round. Weather permitting there are some fascinating dives on various historic wrecks in the Channel.
There are many excellent restaurants both on the Harbour and in Eastbourne, but let's not forget the wonderful selection of genuine "pub" cuisine to be found in many local village and country pubs. Too numerous to mention here, but put these in your memory bank! The Tiger at East Dean, The Cricketers at Alfriston, The Ram at Firle.......
Just the far side of Beachy Head there are 4,000 acres of downland and coastlinewalks in the South Downs Country Park, including Cuckmere Haven - a must-do particularly when the weather is sunny.
Bring your passport! The Ferry at nearby Newhaven leaves for Dieppe twice a day
Dates for your diary: - International Tennis Tournament 2nd week in June; - Airbourne! (Eastbourne's own 3 day FREE Airshow), 2nd weekend in August: - International Speed Days - early September; - Eastbourne Beer Festival - Mid October. Year round concerts on our recently refurbished seaside bandstand - there is something for everyone here!
Did you see the recent "Hungry Sailors" programme on ITV with Dick Sawbridge and his son? It featured the lovely Eastbourne coast from Beachy Head to Soveriegn Harbour, where his boat came in and from where his famouse cookery programme was filmed. Missed it? try and catch it on ITV i-player! Our apartments overlook this stretch of the harbour and is a short walk from they beach where they set up their barbeque.
Its Official!! Eastgbourne is the SUNNIEST place in the UK!
