If you are looking for a good number of bedrooms / accommodation for a large party in the height of the season, then this property is superb value for money. Please see our photo gallery for details of accommodation or contact the owner for any clarification prior to booking.
The property is split over three floors. Ground floor accommodation is as follows:
Lounge overlooking the front of the property, with two sofas and an arm chair. (a two seater and a three seater). The lounge has a 32 inch flat screen TV with Freeview. The separate dining room is open plan to the re-fitted kitchen. The dining room has a wooden table which seats six / seven, and a sofa for social dining / cooking. The kitchen is equipped with oven, hob and hood, washer dryer, large fridge freezer, toaster, and microwave and overlooks the courtyard garden. We include two large boxes of toys for children, a selection of DVDs, a padded changing mat, and a high chair. We do try to make life easy for young families!!
The kitchen leads onto the court yard patio garden at the rear of the property, which is flat and fully enclosed with seating. There is also a newly modernised and spacious downstairs bathroom, with white suite comprising toilet, sink and bath with shower attachment.
The bedrooms are split over the top two floors. The first floor has 2 bedrooms,with the main bedroom being a very large double, and the second bedroom a smaller double, with the main bathroom on this floor. The main bathroom has just been re-fitted / re-tiled with limestone and mosaic type tiling. The bedrooms are painted in neutral colours, and are furnished with pine furniture and have sinks in all of them.
The second floor has 3 further bedrooms; 2 doubles (one with a 4ft / small double bed) and one single bedroom. There is a metal framed fold up bed which takes a 10th person. Suitable for child or teenager (probably not suitable for a large man). The property is double glazed throughout and is centrally heated with a combi boiler for instant / continuous hot water. All bedrooms have Yale locks on them for increased privacy for large parties.
We re-decorated the hall, stairs and landings and put all new carpets down in those areas and the lounge and dining room in 2013. We are therefore proud to say this house looks really cosy but fresh looking.
The property is spacious and is ideally suited for easy access to all the facilities, and is approximately 5 minutes walk to the train station, so a car is not essential.
The property is comfortable rather than luxurious, but provides good sized accommodation and with its extremely convenient location, is therefore extremely good value for money! The holiday rental charged for this property per week, is less than most two bedroom flats in the local area. Bed linen is an additional cost of £50 to have all 5 bedrooms made up. Duvets and pillows are included within the rental charge.

The property has a private courtyard garden which is a real sun trap during the summer. The garden is attractively finished with patio slabs, with table and chairs.
The property is two minute walk from the main shopping centre, and 5 minute walk to the train station, and bars and restaurants. Parking is on the street directly outside the property.
We do have parking permit which will be provided to guests as the permit is required between the hours of 8.00 am and 6.00 p.m Monday to Saturday. If you expect visitors whilst you are staying, there is a car park within two minutes walk which can be utilised (at the nearby Arndale shopping centre) or we can provide you with additional permits (at an additional cost of £5 per week to cover our own costs).
There is a large sports centre with swimming pool only a five minute drive away, and the main Eastbourne Shopping Centre is a two minute walk.. The beach is approximately ten minutes walk and has two children's theme parks - one with a large outdoor (unheated) paddling pool (Fort Fun) with pirate ship to climb over as well as indoor play areas, and the other park - 'Treasure Island,' has various rides for children of approximately 18 months upwards.
Bed linen is not included,but can be provided at an additional cost.
THE PROPERTY IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO RENT DURING THE SUMMER PERIODS IE. FROM END OF JUNE TO MID SEPTEMBER (NO EXCEPTIONS SO PLEASE DON'T ASK FOR AVAILABILITY OUTSIDE THESE DATES). CHANGE OVER DAY IS SATURDAY.
The South East England region
Eastbourne is on the South Downs which is a beautiful part of Sussex, close to Beachy Head with its lovely walks and wonderful views. Eastbourne is surrounded by countryside, but is also convenient with Brighton being only half an hours drive away. Brighton has excellent shopping and an excellent nightlight.
There are a multitude of tourist attractions nearby including Wadhurst Llama Park, Lewes Wildfowl and motor museum, and Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway, Brighton Sea Life Centre and Hastings Castle and the excellent Druscillas zoo is only about 15 minutes drive away, which was voted best day out in Sussex - http://www.drusillas.co.uk.
There are also two children's mini theme parks on the beach - both with indoor play areas for bad weather day!!!!. One has a large wooden fort to play on, as well as an outside swimming pool, and toddlers sand play area. The other theme park has various "fair type" rides including a carousel, run-away train, twister, and various smaller rides for toddlers including spinning tea cups and a little train etc.

Eastbourne is a large town, with excellent shops, bars and restaurants. The town has a large beach and pier, and also two entertainment parks for the kids which are located on the sea front ; Treasure Island has a huge large pirate ship to climb over, and an outside swimming pool which is paddling height, but has a large sand area to play in and a huge picnic area for the adults to sit and read a magazine with a cafe for food or snacks. It also has mini golf and an indoor area with a soft play area and slot machines and other 'pier type' slot machine games.
Fort fun is the other 'park' has fairground type rides, with a run away train, little motor bikes, spinning tea cups, carousel etc. and you can either pay for a day, or by individual rides. Eastbourne Miniature Railway is also great and really reasonable. You sit on a little train and it goes round the park, and it also has a great outside play area with loads of things to keep the kids amused, including a maze to get lost in!!!!

There is also a new marina for boat spotters, which also has a range of bars and restaurants. There is a large sports centre nearby, with swimming pool with wave machine. A large tennis tournament takes place in June, with Airborne flying show taking place Mid August - including performances by the world famous Red Devils.

"large reasonably priced comfortable accomodation"
the house is failry close to shops and cinema ,and about 10 mins to beach, the only down side is its not on a quiet street when in the early mornings,or late at night. when people are travelling home through the area, the property could benefit from a bit of tlc, but plenty of room,dogs allowed.
Thank you for your feedback. As you mentioned, the house is in the Town Centre, a five minute walk to the high street, and restaurants etc. As such, you can occassionally have people walking past who have been out for a meal etc. This has not bothered previous parties, as we have had a family stay with us three times, and are coming back again next year, and have other repeat bookers. The house is situated at the end of a 'no through' road, so there is not any traffic noise. People who are light sleepers could sleep at the back of the house, as there are two double bedrooms at the rear of the property which back onto gardens. The property is also fully double glazed so should keep any noise to a minimum. The property is comfortably furnished (not luxurious), so that we can charge a competitive and affordable rent for the size of house. The bathrooms are modern white suites and the kitchen recently refurbished and the paintwork is redone just before the start of every summer reason. At under £700, a five bedroom property in the height of the summer season offers very good value for money, which is why we are usually fully booked.

"Great size of house, excellent location and brilliant communication with owner"
We found the whole experience of booking and dealing with the owner a pleasure. The property is in very good condition, great size bedrooms, very clean and with all the facilities you could need. Location was perfect for trips the beach, shops and great local restaurants. We shared the house with another family and the five bedrooms meant we were not on top of each other.
