The Hallows is a modern Bungalow located within in a quiet residential road. The local fishing village of Pevensey bay is only a five minute walk away with many amenities available. With only a minutes walk to the beach you can take a swim in the sea or enjoy a nice walk. You can have hours of fun rock pooling and fossil finding or enjoy water sports, fishing, and bird watching The property offers family sized accommodation 2 double bedroom’s 1 bedroom has two single beds with two further hideaway beds which can be opened out to the same height, ideal for children and with a range of toys puzzles and games to keep your little ones entertained.
A further double bedroom is located next door and a travel cot is available if required. There is a tasteful family bathroom with bath and shower overhead. The kitchen/dining area is open planned and offers a range of modern appliances and has doors which lead out onto the back garden. The lounge offers view’s into the garden and has bifold doors that you can open onto a decked area. This private area make’s The Hallows an ideal place where you can relax, unwind and enjoy dining outside.

The Hallows is a holiday home waiting for you to enjoy. It has been re-wired and decorated to a high standard using a mix of soft colours to create a feeling of warmth and total relaxation. The property is fully insulated and is mainly double glazing throughout, with openers in both bedrooms’ to ensure your safety and welfare.
The master bedroom has a double Divan bed and has two bedside tables and a double wardrobe with draw space and hangers.
The twin bedroom has two beds with two further rollaway full-size single beds which can be bought up to the same height. There is also a large fitted wardrobe with lots of storage space and hangers and two bedside tables.
Leading off the hallway is the bathroom which comprises a shower over bath, WC, basin and storage underneath.
The living room is nice and spacious offering a 3 piece leather suite, TV with freesat, Blue ray/DVD player and an open fire. You are welcome to use the fire but please ensure you replace the logs on your departure. There are games, toys and books available and a range of DVD’s/Blue Ray’s to enjoy.
The utility room has a large fridge freezer with plenty of storage for all your groceries. A washing machine, tumble dryer, Iron/Ironing Board and are available for your use.
The kitchen diner is well equipped which includes an electric oven, gas hob, microwave oven, kettle, double toaster and dishwasher. A dining table and chairs to seat 6 people and a high chair for little people.

The property is situated in a quiet, residential neighbourhood. There is ample off road parking. The rear garden is secure and ideal for young children. All electrical work has also been inspected and passed inspection in November 2010. Each bedroom has means of escape windows and there is a first aid box, carbon monoxide alarm and a fire extinguisher in the kitchen. The smoke alarm is sited in the hallway.
Change over days are normally Saturdays. The Hallows will be clean and ready for your arrival by 3pm and we request that you vacate the property by 11am on the day of your departure.Out of peak season and dependant on prior bookings, change over dates can be more fexible. This is our family holiday home, we want you to enjoy it as much as we do and have some great holiday meomories, all we ask that on your departure you leave the property as you found it.
The South East England region
The jewel in the Sussex landscape the south downs national park, covers over 1600 square km of glorious landscape and unspoilt coastline. There are many historic villages to visit such as Alfriston, Jevington and East Dean which are remarkably untouched by time. Here you will find the most delightful shops offering handmade gifts and a chance for you to taste some homemade scones and locally produced ales in one of the many cafes/pubs. If history and culture are more your thing, you can explore Pevensey castle which is around 20 minutes walk, herstmonceux castle and the delightful Lewes castle which is 25 minute’s drive by car . You can visit art galleries, historic houses, museums, and there is a wide selection of theatres.
Apart from the seaside charms of Eastbourne itself you can explore the national beauty spot of Beachy Head, with its famous iconic white cliffs of the seven sisters and lighthouse. The Birling Gap and the tranquil beauty of the Cuckmere haven are great places to discover, explore and enjoy. The climate in Eastbourne is well known as being consistently warmer than any other part of England and has been named the sunshine coast because it receives more hours of sunshine than any other part of England.
The town of Brighton is located about 30 miles away and is well known for its antique shops, bookshops, art galleries and craft studios. You could also visit the Marina, or the Aquarium, or simply take a walk through the well known “lanes” and if you have developed an appetite you could choose from a wide variety of restaurants or enjoy the buzzy nightlife scene.
There are award-winning beaches located along the 14 mile Sussex coastline, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, make Sussex by the sea a popular spot for tourists. The town of Worthing also has a lot to offer visitors', with its superb theartres, restaurants and fablous shopping. A few miles inland is the charming town of Arundel with its magnificent castle and grounds and enticing antique shops and tea rooms to explore. The Roman city of Chichester has an imposing cathedral, a major art gallery and the renowned Chichester Festival Theatre, plus the wildlife-rich inlets and bays of Chichester Harbour and the beaches of West Wittering and East Head.
Eastbourne has been a popular tourist destination for English holidaymakers looking for sun, sea and beachside relaxation. Pevensey Bay is a small fishing village which is situated just 5 kilometres away. The beach is a beautiful stretch of sand and pebbles and in recent years has become more popular for windsurfing and kite surfing which is simply fascinating to watch. The surrounding countryside has walks with panoramic views across the South Downs, Beachy Head and the Medieval Castle of Pevensey. The village has its very own fishing shop which is extremely popular. It is open most days throughout the year and you can get some great advice and even arrange some fishing lessons.
Located close by is the stunning Sovereign Harbour development and Leisure Complex. Here you can Shop and Dine or enjoy a relaxing boat trip around the
Harbour or enjoy a movie at the Multiplex Cinema.
The complex boasts a large indoor swimming pool with wave machines and flumes guaranteed family fun. Eastbourne is a large holiday resort town with great shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. The town has a large beach and a Victorian pier and there are two children's theme parks Treasure Island and Fort Fun, both situated on the seafront.
In June there is an international tennis tournament and mid August sees the Airborne Air display take to the skies for 4 day’s. Every week from Easter through to October the town has organised events to cater for all ages including music at the bandstand where tribute bands play on a Friday evening throughout the summer months.
There are many cycling routes including the Cuckmere Haven which is an old disused railway line stretching from Haisham to Uckfield. You can stop along the way here to enjoy a picnic or tasty pub lunch. You can cycle or rollerblade from the Sovereign Harbour development along a cycle path located on the beach into Eastbourne. Tennis courts are also available to hire and are situated close to the sea front.
The nearest golf club is located within 1 and a half miles, with more available just a short drive away.

"A central, well equipped property close to the sea"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a superbly well equipped, clean, relaxing and welcoming property. Close to the beach and other amenities. the good weather played an important part too, as we were able to relax in the garden when it was too hot to travel far. The children were able to walk to the beach safely and the neighbours were friendly and helpful. Good train access to London from Eastbourne. The only drawback was the outside rubbish bin and kitchen bin were full when we arrived, and we had to store our rubbish in the garage and leave it in a black bag outside when we left - although this oversight was not the fault of the owner - I suggest the bin be marked clearly when the fortnightly collection is due, as it is no issue wheeling the bin and the recycling out.
To date we do not know if our cheque deposit has been destroyed, two weeks after returning home,
We are so pleased that you and your family had an enjoyable stay at The Hallows and were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. With regards to your comment about the rubbish bins being full on your arrival, I can only apologise for the incovenience caused. The household rubbish is collected fortnightly which is a bit of a pain but I will be sure to inform our cleaner to double check the rubbish bins on her arrival and to take away any rubbish with her. I always try to ensure that breakage's deposit are returned within 2 weeks after our guest's have completed their stay. Unfortunaley on this particular occasion my children have recently broken up from school and we have been away for a short break. Sorry again for not responding to you sooner, I have popped this in the post for you today. Many thanks for your review and again so pleased that you all enjoyed your stay and would welcome you to stay with us again at the Hallows.

"Well equipped, close to the beach"
we really had a very good stay in the Hallows. The house had all you could wish for, was perfectly clean, of all luxuries foreseen. Plus it was really very close to the beach. And the children loved playing with all the toys there.
The only min-side I do have to mention that it took some time before we got the deposit back, therefore only 4 of the 5 stars!

Wir haben unseren Pfingsturlaub (26.05. -09.06.2012) zusammen mit unseren drei Kindern (10, 8, 3 Jahre) in "The Hallows" verbracht und wir müssen sagen, unser Urlaub war rundum gelungen. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und die Abwicklung war problemlos. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet und unsere Kinder haben das Haus, den Garten und den Strand geliebt. Zuerst waren wir skeptisch ob es funktionieren würde, alle Kinder in nur einem Kinderzimmer zu haben, aber es hat super geklappt. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, aber für deutsche Urlauber vielleicht wichtig: es gibt keine Kaffeemaschine (für uns war das kein Problem, da wir nicht lebensnotwendigerweise eine brauchen...). Die Lage des Hauses ist ausgezeichnet, ruhige Seitenstraße und wirklich nur eine Minute bis zum Kieselstrand.
In Pevensey Bay gibt es eine kleine Ortsmitte mit allen notwendigen Geschäften (Bäcker, Lebensmittel, Pub, Fish and Chips...) in 5 Minuten zu Fuß von "The Hallows" zu erreichen. Außerdem gibt es ein echtes Castle direkt am Ort über einen netten Wanderweg zu erreichen. Ein riesiger Supermarkt ist in ca. 2,5 km Entfernung. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viele lohnende Ausflugsziele (Eastbourne, Beachy Head, Rye...) London (Victoria Station) ist mit dem Zug direkt ab Pevensey/Westham in 1 h 45 Min. problemlos zu erreichen. Alles in allem ein gelungener, erlebnisreicher Urlaub, sogar das Wetter hat super mitgespielt! Generell ist England ein eher unterschätztes Urlaubsland und es hat sich für uns gelohnt, es zu wagen. Es gibt noch viel zu entdecken und wir werden sicher einmal wieder kommen.

"Holiday letting at it's best....."
Absolutely gorgeous bungalow with everything you need and could possibly wish for! Immaculately clean and modern and owners very friendly and helpful. The beach is literally a minute away for relaxing, splashing in the sea or rocking when the tide goes out! Lovely little villages and places of fun and interest to visit all close by. All in all a fabulous holiday and we can't wait to return!

really well equiped property. Comfortable, cosy and clean. Ideal for families and a perfect base very near the beach and shops, yet in a quiet location. Owner was very helpful, even though she was out of the country on holiday herself, nothing was too much trouble. will return!!

"The Hallows was a real home from home...."
My husband and I stayed at The Hallows during the Easter break with our two young daughters, aged 8 and 3. It was a real home from home, stylishly furnished and with all the creature comforts a family would need from a rental accommodation, such as a fully equipped kitchen, washing facilities, a well maintained garden and wifi.
The location of the property also has the benefit of being a 2 minute walk away from the beach and a 5 minute drive away from key local amentities such as ASDA, a leisure complex with swimming pool and cinema. It is also a good base from which to explore the many beauties of the South Coast. For those who may not want to venture too far, a trip to Pevensey Castle, on foot through the fields is a must! It proved a real adventure for our family!!!
