2015 will be the second year this property has been available to rent. It is decorated in a bright holiday style with new furniture. It is just minutes from the harbour with its many walks after which a glass of wine or beer can be enjoyed overlooking the main harbour at The Waterfront. It is in a quiet Close yet close to bus routes all round Sussex and shops and The Waterfront with its restaurants and bars. It has two bedrooms one with a double bed and the other is a bunk room (bunk mattresses 5'9" long) and a shower room.
We have had great revues after our first season, which is very pleasing - view our guest book on arrival!
Eastbourne Airbourne is from 13 - 16 August for those who love a great air display.
There are two great public 9 hole golf courses within three miles of the house which are very reasonable. I can vouch for Bay View which does a deal including light lunch for around £12. There is also Eastbourne Golfing Range (Lottridge Road) which also has a model railway.

About this location
The East Sussex region
Anyone who loves the natural countryside can take a walk over the South Downs. Or an excursion in the woods such as through Bluebell Woods and The Cuckoo Trail along the old railway track. There are just loads of beautiful places to visit in Sussex with many wonderful country pubs to stop at for lunch after a long walk.
For those who prefer a swimming pool to the sea, the Sovereign Leisure Centre with pool and gym is just ten minutes walk away.
For things to do in the local area with the children see http://www.dayoutwiththekids.co.uk/search.php?county=East-Sussex But ideas within walking distance include Fort Fun and Treasure Island. A five minute car ride away is the Miniature Railway and of course the beach is a five minute walk away.
A bus trip or car journey away are Pevensey Bay, Seaford, Hastings, Lewes and Brighton - all lovely resorts in their own right and worth a visit for those who like to venture to resorts further afield.
Visit http://www.sussextourism.org.uk/ for other ideas nearby for all ages. These include Arundel Castle, Pevensey Castle, Herstmonceux, gardens, museums and a host of other ideas.
Don't forget the Airbourne air show in August, the international tennis, and the many theatres with a vast variety of entertainment including operas, drama, family entertainment and bands both traditional and modern.
This delightful property is in the lovely marina development at Sovereign Harbour, yet only three miles from central Eastbourne. It is in an ideal position for fascinating wanders around the marina watching the boats as they go in and out of the lock gates, or enjoying a meal or glass of wine at The Waterfront. There is a boat trip which will take you around the harbour enabling you to visit the marina by water as well as land and there are fishing trips and sea trips also available. The development has an Asda supermarket, a multiplex cinema, hairdresser, TK Maxx, Boots, Next, Brantano, sports shop and other local shops where one can browse and buy luxury items such as jewellery, pictures, watches and much more.
A short drive away by car, bus or Dotto train, or by foot for the more energetic, is Eastbourne town centre with its beach, Edwardian frontage buildings, shops, Victorian pier and its three theatres. Or why not venture into the lovely surrounding countryside? Take the children to Treasure Island , Fort Fun or the Miniature Railway. Drusilla's Zoo is also nearby for those who like their wild life a little more exotic.
Child free? Experience an opera in the open air at Glyndebourne or take a ramble on the lovely South Downs. Play golf or visit Virginia Woolf's last home at Rodmell or her sister Vanessa Bell's at Charleston just 20 minutes car drive away.
Eastbourne has the highest sunshine hours in England so sit in the sun in the garden or venture to The Waterfront where you can enjoy a meal or drink overlooking the boats in the harbour. Local restaurants include an Indian (Ganges), a Mediterranean (Pablo's), a Thai (Thai Marina), a Harvester pub/restaurant with views like no other, an Italian (Simply Italian), two American Diners (Gringo's and Frankie and Benny's), and two bars (The Garden Bar and Seamoors). Central Eastbourne and Pevensey have many, many more bars and restaurants all within three miles of the property.
In August there is the Airbourne air festival and there is international tennis at Devonshire Park. For other activities see the Eastbourne website at http://www.visiteastbourne.com/events/

"Lovely holiday in a lovely house"
We had a great holiday in eastbourne, this property was comfortable, very clean (very important to me with young children) and had everything we needed. Great quiet location not far from the beach and very close to the harbour. Lots to do in eastbourne without having to travel too far, if u have young children we recommend Drusillas park and knockhatch adventure park, great holiday would definitely stay here again. And the service we received was excellent.
Thanks Rachel, I am pleased that you had a lovely holiday and hope to see you again.
