Enjoy a relaxing holiday in this wonderful old coach house, beautifully converted and a great setting in Eastbourne, the sunshine coast!

This is your genuine coachman's house! Step into the kitchen/dining room and you enter what was once the horse's stable. Move across to the living room and you are now in the space where the coach was garaged. Head upstairs and there was once some basic accommodation for the coachman.

This striking old coach house has been beautifully converted to create exceptional accommodation for up to six guests. It is situated within a ten minute walk of the centre of Eastbourne and just 15 minutes from the famous promenade. On a quiet and traditional residential street the property sits back from the road offering private accommodation for guests to relax into and enjoy.

Considering the history of the building there is understandably a lot of space here. The fully equipped kitchen and dining room makes for an excellent social space, while across the hall the living room with its feature television has double opening doors onto the front courtyard. Also downstairs there is a modern cloakroom.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king sized bed along with an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom has zipped linked beds depending on how guests would like the room made up while bedroom three is a twin bedroom. The family bathroom has both a bath and shower attachment fitted above the bath.

Outside there is a private courtyard space in front of the house. The driveway is sufficiently long enough to park a maximum of three cars.

The South East England region

Eastbourne is known as the sunshine coast and attracts some of the best weather in England. Everything is within easy reach. The lower slopes of the South Downs drop down from Beachy Head on to the magnificent promenade that stretches for almost two miles to Eastbourne's Victorian Pier. It is a town of tradition.

In the summer it comes alive with the very popular Airbourne at Eastbourne together with the AEGON International Tennis, a tournament which attracts many of the world's top tennis players just prior to Wimbledon. The tournament in Devonshire Park is only a fifteen minute walk from Kingswood Cottage.

With its sheltered setting next to Beachy Head, Eastbourne also has some of the best Blue Flag beaches along the south coast, so with its excellent sunshine record Eastbourne makes for a wonderful holiday. Just east of the town the Sovereign Harbour Marina is one of the premier marinas in the south-east of England with many prestigious yachts moored here. From the marina there are boat excursions along the coast to Beachy Head as well as the Sovereign Lighthouse a few miles out to sea.

Beachy Head is a magnificent backdrop, with its dramatic chalk cliffs and gently undulating Downs. It is the start of the South Downs National Park marking the beginning of the 100 mile South Downs Way national trail. Head west along the cliff tops toward Belle Tout and Birling Gap for possibly one of the most outstanding walks in the country.

Sussex is in the south east of England stretching along the English Channel from Rye in the east to Chichester Harbour and Emsworth in the west with many fine blue flag beaches in between.

The chalk downland of the South Downs National Park cover a large part of Sussex from where they meet the sea at Beachy Head in East Sussex through to the Hampshire border near South Harting in the west.

Chichester is the cathedral city of Sussex and Brighton and Hove on the Sussex coast is considered to be one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Europe. Arundel and Lewes are two historic towns within the county both have imposing castles and are popular towns to visit.

The climate enjoyed in Sussex is above the average for Great Britain, which makes it ideal for visiting throughout the year.
