This is a beautifully presented two-bedroom/two-bathroom apartment in an exclusive development on Oxford's popular St Clements Street. Furnished to a very high standard the apartment is elegant and modern, offering a little bit of luxury close to Oxford city centre. The location is extremely desirable, Cowley Road is less than 5 minutes walk away and Oxford City centre is also within easy walking distance. The apartment benefits from having great restaurants and independent shops on the doorstep but is at the back of the development away from any noise. It is located around a stylish and quiet courtyard, making the apartment calm and peaceful. The rooms are bright and airy with the best quality fixtures and fittings throughout making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day.

The apartment is on the ground floor at the back of the development, so away from the noise of the street. Gated entry and intercom access make it very secure and safe.

***Sofa bed available for 5th person on request only. Charged at additional rate of 10% of rental rate.

It is very tastefully decorated throughout in neutral and cream tones, with splashes of colour giving warmth and original art on the walls.

The living room is very elegant and comfortable, furnished with a sofa and armchairs, glass coffee table and TV/DVD, with wood floors and rug. There is a comfortable dining area with a smart wood dining table and six chairs. This room has French doors opening onto the landscaped courtyard with outdoor seating for good weather.

The kitchen is large and smartly decorated in white and cream. It is fully equipped for any self-catering stay with oven and hobs, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dryer and dishwasher. There is plenty of cupboard space and the floor is tiled.

The main bedroom is an attractive room with double bed, plenty of storage space and bedside table, opening onto the en-suite shower room with shower cubicle and toilet.

The second bedroom is also a good-sized room with two single beds and good storage space.

The main bathroom has a bath with overhead shower.

The Oxfordshire region

The apartment is located on the main St Clement's street just to the east of Oxford, with frequent buses to the city centre and to London passing just outside. The route to the city centre – only a 20-minute walk - could hardly be more beautiful, taking visitors across stunning Magdalen Bridge straight up the historic High Street, with colleges on either side, to the city epicentre at the top of the High Street. This serviced apartment in Oxford could hardly be better placed for amenities or easy access to all parts of Oxford.

East Oxford

This short stay apartment in Oxford has excellent local amenities. It is close to the popular Cowley Road area of Oxford, which has many independent shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The historic sights of Oxford city centre are easy to reach only 1.5 kms walk away. Getting away from city life is just as easy with the beautiful green areas of South Park, Christ Church Meadows and Headington Park nearby. Boat hire, including punt hire, is available at Magdalen Bridge five minutes' away. This is the ideal short let apartment for a holiday in Oxford or corporate booking.

"Comfortable and convenient home away from home"

My husband and I stayed at Citygate for more than two months from April to June while I was undertaking research at the university. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and generally well equipped, and ideally located, an easy walk into the city and to various university facilities. The complex is located on St Clements, quite a busy street, with a bus stop literally outside the front gate and stops for all bus services to London and airports very close by. However, the apartment, located on the ground floor next to a tranquil leafy courtyard at the back of the complex, was very quiet and the French doors into the courtyard made the living area very light and inviting. The double glazing also meant that the apartment was warm, despite unseasonably cool weather, and the heating was easy to adjust. The bedrooms are small but light and both have capacious wardrobes. The main bedroom was comfortable, with good storage but the second bedroom would benefit from a chest of drawers and more comfortable bed/s. Having an ensuite bathroom in addition to the main bathroom was very convenient and all facilities functioned very well. The kitchen has a good stove and gas cooktop, fridge/freezer, washing machine/dryer and small dishwasher, all functioning well and making our extended stay feel more homelike and there are sufficient utensils and cooking equipment to make eating at home easy. The St Clements neighbourhood has plenty of restaurants and both small and large supermarkets within a short walk from the apartment. South Parks is also just around the corner and the daily walk over Magdalen Bridge into the city of Oxford with its historic buildings lining the High Street was a constant delight. Walks along the rivers and past the many colleges were also highly enjoyable and just a short distance away, and my husband spent many hours exploring the meadows and parks, and walking along the rivers and the tow paths. We were very sorry to leave both Oxford and the apartment, which we had become very attached to during our stay. Our only real problem was that the very considerable price for the apartment did not include weekly cleaning, which is standard for other apartments of similar price. The linen was changed weekly by the cheerful and helpful Andrea, who also cleaned the apartment for an extra fee (as I have a back problem and am physically unable to do any heavy cleaning). The complex also lacked parking, though the convenience of public transport meant that we rarely needed a car. Despite these small issues, we loved our stay in the apartment and would be very happy to stay there again.

"Very nice flat"

We spent two weeks in this property. Good location, close to Oxford city center (15 minutes walk to Carfax). The bus stop to the city center, to London and to airports is just outside the main gate. Headington park is nearby and so are many shops and supermarkets. Very functional apartment. All the necessary equipments are there. Very quiet, though close to the main street. We loved it.
