The South East England region
The Southeast is more densely populated than any other part of England.
A mixture of lowlands and chains of small hills. To the far north west are the Cotswold Hills, while the Chilterns extend from Oxfordshire across Buckinghamshire into Hertfordshire.

Industry and farming
The Southeast has mainly light industries and is also home to the largest oil refinery at Fawley, near Southhampton. There are hovercraft factories on the Isle of Wight. Kent has paper mills, shipyards, and a nuclear power station at Dungeness. Away from the towns, there are hundreds of small farms, with orchards and fruit farms. Kent, known as the 'Garden of England', is famous for its apples and for hops, used in brewing beer. Lamberhurst is known for its vineyards and produces English wines.
Industry in Berkshire centres around Bracknell, Maidenhead, Reading and Slough, with electronics concentrated in Milton Keynes. Hertforshire is known for engineering, mostly at St Albans, Hatfield, Letchworth and Watford. The Oxford suburb of Cowly has huge car factories and was the birthplace of the classic Morris Minor.

Epping Forest, the Stratford Olympic site and the new Westfield Shopping Centre and London Docklands are all within easy reach and West End Central London within 30 mins and 20 mins to Liverpool Street directly on the Central Line.
Areas close to it include prestigious and historical Chigwell, Burkhurst Hill, South Woodford and Loughton. Queens Road in Buckhurst Hill well known for its designer shops and good bars/restaurants. The South Woodford and Loughton High Street known for its trendy bars/restaurants and shops.

"Adequate flat, but very small windows"

Thank you for your comments and sorry to learn you felt the windows were small for your preference. Perhaps you did not noticed the shops on the High Road off the apartment by the lake near Harvester Restaurant which is around 10 minutes walk. There are other shops surrounding the apartment on famous road, Queens Road in Buckhurst Hill which is about 18 minutes walk from the apartment. There's also bus stop just opposite the apartment that goes to South Woodford and Loughton in just 7 minutes where there are also more shops. Alternatively, the apartment provides FREE high speed broadband to enable online shopping delivered to the apartment.
