The South East England / Greater London region

The world famous city of London has it all. There are so many things to see and do while staying at our apartment and all within easy reach through various travel links all close by.
Madame Tussauds, the London Eye, Tower Bridge - there really is no shortage of things you can do. Coupled with many world class restaurants, theatres and night-life a break in London is ideal at any time of year.
Also our flat is situated in the border of London 2012 Olympic and the Olympic Site Tours are now available. So why not take this unique opportunity and visit the London 2012 Olympic site.
Some information: 2012 Olympics Tour
The ‘2012 Olympic Sites Tour’ starts in Stratford in East London, where you’ll see the construction work in progress on the Olympic Park. You’ll also hear the history of London's Royal Docks, as you travel to the Boxing, Judo, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Table Tennis and Taekwondo venue. Other London landmarks on the tour include the Millennium Dome, Thames Barrier Park and University of East London. The company also runs an East London and the Olympic Park Tour and a 2012 Olympic Greenwich Tour.
The East London, England / Walthamstow area
Some information about Walthamstow Central: This district of east London is located about 6 miles to the north-east of The City, between Chingford and Leyton.
The area was originally densely forested and there is evidence that it has been settled since Roman times. More recently the district had the well-used route between London and Waltham Abbey running through it, and the name of the district is said to mean "a place which welcomes strangers".
By the 15th century the forests had been largely cleared (except for the area that is today known as Epping Forest) and the district was populated by small farms and villages.
By the 16th century Walthamstow was attracting wealthy residents. Over the next 200 years several large manor houses were built, including Water House Manor which is now home to the William Morris Gallery.
In the 18th century Walthamstow was still a predominantly rural district, but by the 19th century it had become industrialised and the population had increased dramatically.
The railway was the major employer in Walthamstow but the district is remembered for the fact that the first British car boasting an internal combustion engine was produced here in 1895.
Walthamstow still reflects its industrial heritage, but now it is a predominantly residential district.

Dear Sue,
The apartment is lovely - spacious, well-lit, tastefully furnished. It provides everything one needs for a luxury self-catering holiday. It is located close to tube station, so going to Central London is easy.
I also happened to spend a day in Walthamstow. Old churches, lovely cafes along market street, several newly refurbished buildings dating back to 15-th Century and quiet footpaths on a warm autumn day were truly enjoyable experience. All in all I enjoyed my stay in the apartment and would warmly recomment it.
