A stylish lakeside holiday home, positioned within the exclusive and serene grounds of the Fallapit Estate, just 2 miles from Slapton Sands and 3 miles from Kingsbridge in South Devon.

Fallapit Mews is an exquisite luxury three bedroom self-catering home boasting picturesque lakeside views, situated at the front of this peaceful and beautiful estate. A heavenly location to relax and unwind with acres of tranquil gardens to wander through. Just a stones throw from the shingle stretch at Slapton and 6 miles from the award winning Blue Flag beach at Blackpool Sands, the position couldn't be more perfect to explore the beautiful South Hams. The market town of Kingsbridge and the beautiful Kingsbridge estuary are 3 miles and the maritime town of Dartmouth is 7 miles. A perfect location whether you are a couple looking to enjoy walks along the coastline, or a family who enjoy days out at the beach or keen water sports enthusiasts.

The house is one of a very small number, perhaps the only one, available as a holiday let on this exclusive estate. The remainder are used periodically as private and residential homes, and as such the estate remains serene and peaceful at all times of the year. The property has been stylishly furnished with thoughtful touches provided by the owners throughout, including a fully stocked choose and replace wine rack and guitar for those musically gifted! The interior is beautifully finished with a sleek designer kitchen with built in appliances and gas hob, and open plan dining area on the ground floor. On the first floor there is a galleried lounge with gas burner, for chilly Autumn evenings, and patio doors opening onto a juliet balcony.

There are three gorgeous bedrooms with heavenly mattresses and beautiful linen, two, a twin and double, situated on the ground floor with use of a luxury walk in wet room, and a gorgeous master bedroom on the first floor with views to the lake, and also boasts an Italian limestone designer en-suite with separate shower, deep luxurious bath and twin basins.

The property is equipped with broadband and surround sound with two TV's one in upstairs lounge and the other in the downstairs open plan lounge diner.

Guests are free to wander through the beautifully kept grounds of this estate and relax on the decking area beside the lake. The nearby delightful 'olde worlde' pub The Fortescue Arms is well worth a visit, just a1/2 mile away, it can be reached on foot, and offers an excellent variety of real ales, great food and an open fire. There is allocated parking for one car and additional parking for visitors if required.

About this location

The Devon region

South Devon is an ideal year round destination that benefits from the best climate in the South West. A wonderful destination with glorious countryside, interesting towns and villages and golden beaches.

East Allington

The ancient market town of Kingsbridge lies betwixt Plymouth, to the west, Torbay to the east and Dartmoor to the north and is the historic and natural centre of the South Hams. Kingsbridge can truly claim to be the “hub of the wheel” from which to explore this beautiful area. Kingsbridge is still a vibrant working town, not just a holiday centre, and has a varied selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs which are open all year.

Just over 2 miles away is the shingle stretch of Slapton Sands a great beach for families or walkers to enjoy. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards, during the summer and there is a beachside cafe serving drinks at one end. Many visitors come to enjoy the nature reserve. Throughout the year the plants and animals living in the freshwater lake, Slapton Ley, vary according to the seasons, giving you the chance to see something different every time you come. The whole stretch of this particular piece of coastline has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a great destination at any time of the year.

The maritime town of Dartmouth is on the other side of East Allington. Enjoy the variety of independent shops that line the narrow cobbled streets. The town has a super selection of restaurants and cafes. Take a trip along the River on one of the River cruises, or catch a ride to Paignton on the steam train that leaves from across the River Dart at Kingswear.

Another lovely beach for a day out with the family is the Blue Flag beach of Blackpool Sands. This lovely sheltered cove is always popular and with parking, facilities and a great beach cafe its wise to come early in the summer months.
