Every house in Riverbank comes with the rights to the fishing on the Easkey River (Subject to license). Only residents of Riverbank can fish from the banks of the River on the Estate. The North West Ireland / County Sligo region
There are long beautiful sandy beaches nearby at Enniscrone which is 8 miles west along coast road) ( popular and busy with lifeguard in summer) and Trawee which is 4.5 miles east along coast road (quiet and secluded no lifeguard). There are excellent Golf courses in Enniscrone and Strandhill as well as other great links and parkland courses within reasonable driving distance.
Easkey area
The famous Easkey Left reef surf break is directly in front of the house - 450m away over fields. Waterpoint Leisure Centre in Enniscrone has a good modern gym and pool with great fun water activities for kids. There is a famous old seaweed baths in Enniscrone which is very relaxing and reccommended. The Easkey region is rich in history and has fairy forts, castle ruins, burial monuments and old churches in the locality. The house is beside the Easkey river which is famous for salmon fishing.
There are nearby sandy beaches in Enniscrone (8 miles west) and Trawee (4.5 miles east). There are excellent Golf courses in Enniscrone and Strandhill as well as other great links and parkland courses within reasonable driving distance. The area is a haven for all water sports. The Easkey region is rich in history and has fairy forts, castle ruins, burial monuments and old churches in the locality. It is approximately 16 miles from Ballina, 8 miles from Enniscrone, 45 miles from Knock Airport and 28 miles from Sligo City. Riverbank is 200 yards from the centre of the village which has grocery shops, a Surf Centre, pubs, churches ( Catholic and Protestant ), a Post Office, a Health Centre, a Butchers and an Indian Restaurant.
September and October can have the most beautiful days in the west of Ireland. The holiday crowds are gone. The days are mostly bright and long with the odd windy showery day. The light and scenery can be stunning. The autumn swells are rolling in to the coastline and the water is still relatively warm making it the perfect time for surfing.
How to get there
Easkey is on the coast in county Sligo between Ballina/Ennicrone to the south/west and Sligo to the north/east.
Nearest airport Knock , County Mayo - regular flights from London by Ryanair + internal Flights.
From Dublin / Belfast, take the Sligo Road (N4) to the town of Ballisodare. Turn left to the Ballina Road (N59) and travel for c24 km. Turn right in the village of easkey between the surf centre and the post office which brings you into Riverbank. From Galway / Knock take the Ballina Road (N25). Go through the town of Ballina and over the Moy river. Turn left on the Sligo Road (N59) and travel for 10 km. Turn left when you see the Enniscrone sign. Continue north/east along the coast road for approx 12 km. Turn left in the village of easkey between the surf centre and the post office which brings you into Riverbank.

There is a realistic coal affect gas fire in the living room. Electricity, gas and heat (oil fired central heating) are included in the price. Perfect for a romantic luxury quiet break for a couple and spacious enough for a family. The rear garden is enclosed with a high gate.
