Enquire nowThe Aquitaine / Dordogne / Lot et Garonne region
The region is probably one of the most beautiful regions in France with such a large variety of landscapes, pretty villages, amazing towns steeped in History. A place to relax and enjoy a carefree, stress free vacation. We are close to the county of Gironde, famous for it's vineyards and culture. Close to the Dordogne, famous for it's surrounding medieval villages and countryside, close to the Lot et Garonne, where the two rivers meet and offer an aray of various towns and market places..... so much to see! The City of Bordeaux is just an hour away which is just wonderful. Bergerac is just lovely and to eat your lunch at the side of the Dordogne river is truly special. Lots for families to do and for couples who really would like to get away from it all and enjoy all that this region has to offer. Amazing restaurants, good golf, horseriding, walking and cycling. The Summer usually sees temperatures around 30°. Generally from April onwards, shorts and T-shirts are required!
The Duras / Villeneuve de Duras area
We are situated near to the Medieval of Duras with lovely surrounding views. We are a short drive away from Duras, 35 minutes from Bergerac & 1 hour 15 minutes to Bordeaux. We are situated in the 'Golden Triangle' of Aquitaine meaning that we are within a 10 minutes of the Gironde & the Dordogne & a short drive to the splendid market town of Duras, Lot et Garonne. Eymet; Monsegur; Saint Foy la Grande; Miramont; Bergerac; Marmande are also near by. The beautiful beaches of Archachon, Biscarosse are about 1 hour 40 minutes away. Great walks in & around the area, along with good treks for cyclists. Horseriding in Duras. Great restaurants in Duras, Monsegur, Eymet, Monastier. In particular, in addition to your holiday we offer a free Wine Tasting tour at Chateau Grand Pierre where you can sample the wonderful wines of this region. There are Lakes with small beaches & children's play equipment at St Sernin, Lou Gratte & Pomport. Golf at Vigiers & Tombeboeuf. During the summer, there are many village fetes to choose from & are a must!

Bergerac - 35 minutes Ryan air, Flybe
Bordeaux 1 hour 10 minutes. easyjet, BMI baby, BA
Toulouse 1 hour 40 minutes, Angouleme 2 Hours
Limoges 2 hours 30 mins, Carcassonne 2 hours 30 mins

Best deals are usually found at LD Lines who sail from Dover to Bolougne/Calais. The journey by car from Bolougne normally takes about 8 hours. Tolls are not too expensive and the French Motorways are generally very good, and as at April 09 petrol averages at 1.35 Euro a litre and Diesel 1.12. 95% of lorries are not allowed to travel on a Sunday in France, so the roads are even quieter.
You can sail to Le Havre. It is personal taste at the end of the day, but it does mean less driving, but about the same time to get here.
Eurostar is also a good option!
