The converted stone barn is within easy reach of the Atlantic beaches which are safe and sandy with activities for children and many superb seafood restaurants. Other activities in the local area include golf, horse riding, fishing, canoeing and tennis.
During the summer months most villages and towns have day and/or night markets and the night markets not only sell local produce but are also an opportunity for the villagers to get together, eat local produce cooked on site, drink the local wine and enjoy musical entertainment throughout the evening.
In the house there is a games room, and outside there are two and a half acres of well kept gardens with ample parking, patio with stone BBQ, sun loungers, chairs and umbrellas and 2 outside tables on which to dine on the patio.
There is a private, fenced pool 10mx5m with Roman steps and overnight cover. There is also a separate open tobacco barn used as a children's play area or for dining in the shade. There is also a selection of rackets and games such as badminton for playing in the garden and swings for the children

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region
Around the area there is a lot to see and do - from wine-tasting to prune production, ballooning to canoeing, and of course...eating. It is only a short walk into the village of Levignac with small supermarket, baker, butcher, chemist.
The famous château in Duras is only ten minutes by car and well worth a visit, as is the Parchment Museum - the only one of its kind in France.
The area is well known for its excellent climate, unspoilt countryside, good food and a wide variety of wines. There are tennis courts in the local village, canoeing is available nearby and there are a number of good golf courses nearby. The area also offers Chateaux and market towns dating back to the renaissance.
