Le Petit Coup is a beautifully restored farmhouse set near the town of Duras, Aquitaine in South West France. It is used as both a bed & breakfast as well as a holiday home / gite.

There are actually 4 double bedrooms but the site will not let me change it. The most popular guest room is 'Vue du Vignoble' which is a suite of rooms spanning most of the first floor of the farmhouse. This room has a large, comfortable king size bed, there is also a single bed if needed, along with the en-suite shower room. The room has the most amazing views over our vineyard and far beyond! You can sit at the table and drink in the view with a glass of wine. Vue du Vignoble also has its own sitting room with comfortable sofas (one a sofa=bed) and television.

Upstairs on the same floor is another double bedroom - Tournesol. There are two more guest rooms on the ground floor - guests have use of the unusually large bathroom with walk-in shower, two pedestal wash basins, the luxuriously large bath and of course the toilet facilities. There is one double room and the other can sleep 3 with the large double bed and a single. Guests have use of the living room area with television, library, comfortable sofas and the woodburning stove - as well as the kitchen facilities for making tea and coffee etc.

Internet access is available via wi-fi.

We also serve Tables d'hotes to our guests who enjoy enjoy a social evening and good food.

There is also a swimming pool for people to relax and enjoy the stunning views - not forgetting the walled garden with bbq and lots of atmosphere!

We are 10 minutes drive from the pretty town of Duras complete with its own Chateau that you can explore - it has a whispering gallery where you can whisper your secrets without being heard! The town of Bergerac is 30 minutes drive with its beautiful old town and you can get lost in the stories of Cyrano de Bergerac. Bergerac is situated on the Dordogne river, which you can sail along. We are an hour away from the fantastic city of Bordeaux with its stunning architecture and wonderful shops. St Emilion is also a wonderful place to visit set up on the hillside an its vast amounts of wine.

There is so much to see and do in the area - if golf is your love there is a superb golf-course just 20 minutes from here at Chateau Vigiers.

Many people who visit here love to come back - many love the area so much they want to buy their own little piece of France!

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region

With beautiful countryside set in the heart of the vine growing region - the local Cotes de Duras wines just have to be tasted. There are lots of wine tasting caves for you to visit.

We tend to have long summers here - although it can get cold in the winter, it's good to have the seasons - albeit a short winter season normally.
