The apartment is within a 2 min walk of the marina and fronts onto a blue flag beach.
The amenities include several beach bars known as 'Chiringuitos', local bars, and restaurants in and around the marina. There are a variety of restaurants on offer including: English, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, Indian and of course local Spanish restaurants.
Also within the port area there is a local supermarket, a British butcher, a taxi-rank, business / internet centre and marine services. There are several local companies that do offer different fishing and pleasure trips.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol or sun coast as it is more affectionely known, enjoys a wonderful year round climate making it the ideal choice of destination for all types of holiday makers whatever time of the year it is.
This area is popularly known as the Costa del Golf and has a choice of over 30 golf courses including the world famous Valderama and San Roque. The region also provides many alternatives for non golfers such as the marinas of Puerto Banus, Marbella, Puerto Duquesa and Sotogrande.
Away from the sandy beaches and facilities of the coast one can visit the white villages like Casares situated just a few miles inland. The famous rock of Gibraltar with it's popular duty free shopping is just a twenty minute drive from Duquesa.
Duquesa / Puerto de la Duquesa area
The area has many excellent golf courses on the coast including Valderrama - host of the Ryder Cup and World Championship, Alcaidesa - a Links course overlooking the rock of Gibraltar, Sotogrande - a parkland course, San Roque and Almenara - all within only 20 Kilometres of the apartment.
There are no high rise hotels or apartment blocks in the area, which has helped to maintain the charm and character. The blue flag sandy beach stretches past Sabanillas to Estepona. On the other side it winds along the coast to the well known resort of Sotogrande. The Duquesa waterfront is closed to traffic making it safe for families and free of pollution.
If you head in the direction of Marbella, you will find a further selection of fantastic golf courses such as Los Naranjos, Santa Clara, Monte Mayor, La Quinta, Rio Real and many others.
For the enthusiastic golfer, Duquesa offers a superb 18 hole golf course just across the N340. They have a driving range, golf tuition and good 19th hole facilities.
There are also new up and coming golf courses within the Duquesa area, the newest one to be opened is Don Julia which is set in a lovely hillside position with beautiful sea views overlooking the Mediterranean.
The Finca Cortesín Golf Club located in the Casares area will be the longest course on the Costa del Sol and there is also a Jack Nicklaus academy.
Sabinillas, an authentic Spanish coastal village is just 5 minutes walk away along the beach or promenade. Over the last few years it has gone through a redevelopment programme but has still maintained it's Spanish charm.
From within the centre there is a very quaint and very old church in the main square. It still retains it fishing roots as this can be seen through a lot of good seafood restaurants on the waterfront. The beach has just been awarded again with the blue flag and even in the height of summer it is not overcrowded.
There is a large new children's play area on the front as you walk down into the village from the apartment. There are 2 markets - street market on Fridays and on Sundays there is a large market / car boot sale in the new purpose built area just outside the village. There are a larger number of amenities than at the marina and also include the local police, pharmacy, post office, English speaking doctor, dentist and more.
Castillo means Castle which gives this fishing village it's name. This 18th century fortress lies within 10 minutes walk west of the apartment. This is a very quaint community which has had some recent changes over the years but still remains a very small village.
There are several very good seafood restaurants here which come very highly recommended and a very small local convenience store. This location really does offer something for everybody!

The beach front apartment consists of 2 bedrooms and the master bedroom is ensuite. Both bedrooms have zip and link beds and can be made into single beds.There is a great deal of wardrobe and cupboard space within the property.
The modern, fully furnished kitchen has all the modern conveniences that the modern holiday maker would expect. There is a separate laundry with a washing machine and ironing facilities on offer in addition to what is provided in the property.
The lounge has satellite TV that receives Spanish and all the popular English terrestrial channels, DVD player and a CD player. The large sofa within the lounge area converts to a double bed offering additional space.
There are facilities to dine either indoors on the stylish dining table and chairs or relax outdoors on the balcony dining 'Al-Fresco' style.
The apartment has a full air conditioning and heating system with digital temp control. There is also a safe for your convenience within the master bedroom.
Linen and towels are provided - beach towels are not supplied.

The lift connects the apartment with the underground car park and the lobby.
The complex and apartment are wheelchair friendly.

The swimming pool area has direct access to the beach and sun loungers are provided around this area.
The apartment is on the second floor, overlooks the sea and benefits from having the sun on the terrace for most of the day.

Conditions
We ask for a deposit of 20% of the total rental price at the time of booking (or full payment if booking is less than 8 weeks before arrival).
The balance of the rental price and a security bond of £100 are required 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
You can pay in £'s sterling, cheque or bank transfer. Alternatively, payments can be made more securely through Paypal - but there is a small charge for this facility.
The security bond will be refunded in full after departure if there are no major breakages, the apartment is left in the condition it was found in and the keys have been returned safely.
The rentals are normally 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday, although we can accommodate other days .
Longer term rentals from 4 weeks up to 12 weeks will be subject to a discount .
Normally, the apartment must be vacated by 10.00am and may be occupied after 2.00pm on the changeover day to allow for sufficient time for cleaning. However, these times are flexible if there are no outgoing and incoming guests on the same day.
The keys to the apartment will be available from our management company based in Duquesa. They will be on hand for you to assist with any issues if they arise during your stay.
