The apartment is beautifully furnished and well equipped, it has a very large terrace (40 sqm) where you can enjoy al fresco dining with views of the sea and nearby mountains. It is located in a secure complex that includes 5 large pools, one of which is supervised during the summer months, and a paddling pool. The complex is close to a superb 18-hole golf course and health spa.
The nearby Puerto de la Duquesa offers access to clean and well appointed beaches, a wide variety of restaurants and bars overlooking the marina and a long promenade for a relaxed walk or those early morning jogs. Nearby towns include Estepona, Marbella, Puerto Banus and Sotogrande, while a short drive up the mountains offers long walks in woodland and magnificent views of the coast all the way to Gibraltar.

Costa del Sol is renowned for its sunny, mild climate all year round and for the variety and quality of the Golf courses available.
All the towns and villages along this coast have their own character, and all provide a wide range of activities to cater for all tastes and all ages.
The Duquesa / Duquesa Village area
Duquesa Village is a peaceful, beautifully landscaped complex about 15-20 minutes walk from Puerto La Duquesa, a quiet marina which has a wide range of bars, cafes and restaurants. The wide, sandy beaches on both sides of the marina have a European Blue flag for cleanliness and good amenities.
A promenade, which has exercise areas with outdoor gym equipment at several points, links Duquesa to the neighbouring town of Sabinillas on one side and the small fishing village of El Castillo on the other, and is ideal for walking, cycling and jogging.
SABINILLAS has a wide range of beach front restaurants, cafes and bars while EL CASTILLO has more traditional Spanish restaurants and tapas bars serving excellent local fish.
There are nature walks at nearby SOTOGRANDE and beautiful drives through woods and vineyards into the mountains, where you can stop at traditional and picturesque white villages (Pueblos) such as RHONDA, and CASARES, or drive through the natural parks and stop at the the many viewpoints (Miradors) from which there are stunning views of the mountains, and the coast all the way to GIBRALTAR and north Africa.
Nearby places to visit include GIBRALTAR, where you can climb or travel by cable car to the famous rock, still home to a colony of Barbary Apes and go on Dolphin safari trips, and RHONDA, a beautiful white town renowned for its dramatic location and amazing views.
For those interested in golf, La Duquesa Golf is the about 1 mile from the apartment, but there are several others in the area such as San Roque, Valderrama, Valle Romano, Los Flamingos, to name just a few.
For those who like being pampered La Duquesa Golf Hotel has an adjacent luxury Thalasso Spa pool and treatment rooms.
For those interested in shopping, the towns of MARBELLA and PUERTO BANUS offer plenty of opportunity for shopping, as it has a range of local designer shops as well as international brands.
Nearby attractions include Tivoli World Theme Park and Selwo Hills Safari Park in ESTEPONA.

We stayed at this apartment out of season and spent an enjoyable week pottering around going on daily adventures and coming back at day end to a comfortable and well thought out apartment. We lacked for nothing .. and the kitchen knives are top class! The complex is finished to a high standard and offers a beautiful swimming pool a few paces away from the front door. Site landscaping is pretty and well tended; we were there a few weeks before Christmas and the site gardeners were busy inter-planting the borders with bright red poinsettias. Parking is hidden away below the small apartment blocks so no car park eye-sores and access to your front door is easy. The site security guards quickly learn to recognise you offering a cheery wave as you come and go. It would be easy to settle in for the week, and apart from a visit to the local town for supplies, you could spend a very enjoyable time on your own private balcony sun-bathing, dining and reading interspersed with a saunter down for a re-freshing dip in the pool. We enjoyed jumping in the car for the 5 minute drive down to Port Duquesa to sit in the pretty quayside bars for a breakfast coffee or evening drink, and when we were too lazy to cook there were lots of places to choose for supper. If you want a lively day stick to the coast and enjoy the different seafront resorts but if you want peace, quiet and tranquillity head inland to visit the pretty hillside town of Casares or a little further afield, Rhonda, stopping at a roadside bar for refreshment or a family cooked meal as you look over stunning views back down over the Costa Del Sol coastline. |

I stayed in this beautiful apartment with some friends for a couple of days and we really enjoyed the whole experience. It's easy to access whether you're coming from Gibraltar or Malaga. The property is vey clean and well-kept. The standard is definitely higher than any other holiday apartments I've ever stayed. It's located in a lovely and peaceful complex, only a short drive from Puerto de la Duquesa where there is a great range of restaurants and bars. I would definitely rent this place again! |
