About the home
Our townhouse is situated in a beautiful private gated complex, with two pools and one children’s splash pool. The property is tastefully decorated, comprising of three bedrooms, master bedroom with en-suite and two further bathrooms. In addition to this there is a lounge/dining area with TV and DVD player, a fully fitted kitchen including microwave, washing machine and dishwasher and three terraces.
Our townhouse has an ideal location to explore the delights that this area has to offer. Just a short walk away from the blue flag beaches and Marina at Puerto Duquesa, where there is plenty of entertainment all day long for any age group. Within a short drive are the Ports of Sotogrande and Estepona, where further beaches, restaurants and bars may be found. Puerto Banus and Marbella are located a little further north along the coast and are well worth a visit.

The Costa del Sol region


The Costa del Sol still remains the best loved holiday destination in Spain, renowned for its variety of resorts and its all year round sunshine.
The Costa del Sol is a Mecca for sports activity enthusiasts centred on what has become known as the “Costa del Golf”. The region boasts numerous golf courses, add these to tennis clubs, equestrian courses, sailing clubs, diving and walking – what more could you ask for!
Inland from the terrific beaches and ports, with their fantastic range of restaurants and shops, you can explore the natural beauty of the Andalucian countryside and Sierra Nevada mountains, towns parks and gorges, all there for you to explore.
The Costa del Sol does not forget children. If they have had enough of the pool and beach, entertainment is never far away with sea life centres, water and amusement parks all close at hand.
The port of La Duquesa is one of the Costa Del Sol’s best kept secrets. The port offers the perfect environment in which to relax and unwind with an excellent choice of restaurants, cafes and bars offering local and international cuisine. It has an inviting seafront promenade with outstanding cafes and bars. Estepona is also close at hand.
Within easy reach is the elegant resort of Sotogrande with its wonderful marina, fine restaurants and bars. For duty free shopping don’t forget to visit Gibraltar which is also only a short drive away, where you can also visit the famous monkeys and experience an unforgettable view from the top of the rock.
This location is ideal for families, golfers and couples alike, and is the perfect base for discovering the Andalucian area with its many delightful towns and villages.
The Duquesa / Golf and Gardens Complex area
The southern coasts best kept secret, La Duquesa lies west of Marbella just about an hour from Malaga airport and 30 minutes from Gibraltar airport. An oasis of peace, in an area that has retained a distinct Andalucian charm and character, La Duquesa offers serenity and relaxation for a holiday like no other on the Southern coast of Spain. La Duquesa offers many bars overlooking the variety of boats that jostle in the marina, the stunning port provides the ideal location for all types of water sports and boating activities.
The attractive promenade around the marina is home to a tempting selection of family restaurants, bars and cafes. Options for eating include, French, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai and of course, Spanish with its fresh, local fish. So if a laid back evening meal and moonlit boats bobbing in the harbour is for you, La Duquesa is most definitely the right choice.
The well known resort of Puerto Banús, with its vibrant night life and bustling shops, is 30 minute drive away and the pretty 'white village' of Casares is just a 15 minute drive. Other places of interest within easy striking distance include: Gibraltar, Ronda, Benahavís and Mijas. Within a couple of hours are the historic cities of Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba and Granada.
La Duquesa is within 2 hours drive of the Sierra Nevada mountains and its wonderful ski resort where you can hire all the necessary ski equipment. The best months are Jan/Feb/March when the skiing is excellent.
Golfers will love the proximity of some of Europe’s finest golf courses, including Valderrama, San Roque, Sotogrande, La Reserve and of course Duquesa itself. Duquesa Golf, a 10 minute walk from the property, is a fantastic 18-hole course, with beautiful views to North Africa and Gibraltar, and suitable for both professional and novices. Duquesa Golf and Country Club also offers tennis, squash and a fully equipped gym.

The closest airport is Gibraltar, a 20 minutes drive from Duquesa, and low cost flights can be found from the UK. However the majority of people fly into Malaga Airport which is one hours drive from Duquesa and has a good range of flights from the UK, including all the major budget airlines.

Linen and towels are provided. Beach towels are not provided, please bring your own. High chair and cot hire are available upon request.
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure.
Extra cleaning can be arranged and this can be paid for in the UK or locally.
Any changeover day is accepted and we will accommodate you at whatever time you wish to arrive and depart the accommodation.
