Home description
Duquesa caters for those who just want to chill out on the beach or by the pool, or use as a base to benefit from the many attractions of the area. From the glitz of Puerto Banus to the beautiful quiet inland "white" villages that pepper Adalucia. It is not really suitable for those looking for wild night-life.
The apartment is less than 5 minutes walk from the beautiful Marina with its varied restaurants and bars, plus a little further on is the fishing village of Castillo with its fish restaurants and Tapas bars. In the other direction is the small Spanish town of Sabinillas, with its local Supermarkets, regular Sunday market and long promenade.
The apartment is tastefully decorated and is a real home from home with everything you are likely to need for a perfect holiday.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol offers everything you could want in a holiday. Duquesa is quiet during the day but comes alive in a nice way at night, with eating outside the norm. There is usually some live music and artist stalls line the port at night.
If you want more lively night life a short drive will take you to Estepona or further on to Puerto Banus and Marbella. 5 minutes inland and you are at the start of the beautiful mountain region, the first village you come to is Casares, which is well worth a visit. A trip to Ronda by train is a must.
There are some 50 golf courses within an hours drive, including one on your doorstep.
Duquesa / Manilva area
Duquesa Marina is often known as the Costa del Sol's best kept secret. The beaches are blue flagged and dotted along them are beach bars selling excellent food. Within walking distance is Castillo, a small fortified village containing a number of fish restaurants and tapas bars, the fishing fleet is kept at Duquesa Marina. The 1st tee and club house of Duquesa Golf are also about 5-10 minutes walk. The Marina itself is full of bars and restaurants, suitable for those who want activity but not rowdiness.
The numerous activities of this coastline are easily accessible and coach trips all stop close to the apartment. The nearest "white village" is one of the best, Casares, about 10 mins drive. Leave your car at the bottom and enjoy the views across to Africa on a clear day. Gibraltar is a great day out. Leave your car Spanish side of the border and walk across.
Catch an open-top bus into the centre. Use the minibuses as these take you to all of the best areas and you will have a knowledgeable Gibraltarean guide. Selwo is close by where you can see a wide variety of animals in a safari type environment, travelling in open-topped trucks.
The Roman Oasis Restaurant is unique and worth a visit one evening, it can be found further along the road which leads to Sabinillas Sunday Market.
How to get there
The apartment is easily reached in under an hour from Malaga Airport, or from Gibraltar in about 25 minutes.
Monarch, EasyJet and others provide regular scheduled flights to Malaga. During the most popular months chartered flights are also readily available.

Further details indoors: All rooms have ceiling fans. The balcony has a dining table for 6 plus 2 reclinable chairs and outside light and power. Lifts to all floors.
The lifts and apartment can and have catered for wheelchairs and elderly or partially disabled guests. The main bathroom has a grab rail over the bath and a step if required.
Further details outdoors: The apartments have 4 pools, one directly below our apartment. There are 2 paddle tennis courts, gym and extensive gardens, which open onto the promenade.
A zapper is provided for access to the car park and reserved space, otherwise parking is available outside our main exit door on a first come first served basis.
Plenty of loungers are available for all guests by the pools and in the gardens. There is 24 hour security.
Further details
The apartment provides comfortable accommodation for up to 4 adults, and/or children. The settee can be converted and is comfortable, but we would recommend is only for occasional use or for extra children.
We have agents in Duquesa who will answer all of your questions and do their best to ensure you have a wonderful stay.
Conditions
We normally require a deposit of 25% of the full rental price on booking, with the remainder 10 weeks before departure.
Smoking is allowed, but only on the balcony please, and please use the ashtrays provided.

"This is a lovely apartment, very well laid out with all facilities. The balcony is huge, with a great view over the wonderful pool. The whole complex is beautifully maintained, and the lifts are a real added bonus - and spotless too" -
"The little shop in the port is great for all your basic needs, and you really should try out the English butcher - excellent quality and choice, and only 5 minutes walk. Or you can take a stroll along the beachfront promenade to Sabinillas (check spelling!), where there are 3 bigger supermarkets, and a fantastic adventure playground, with a gym section for older kids - mine had great fun on the running machine and weightlifting bit, and its all very clean and safe." -
Caters for just about everyone, in a wonderfully comfortable apartment that really is like home from home. The service from the owner and the managing agents was faultless, and it is exceptionally good value for money. I would go back again tomorrow if I could! -
