Air conditioned luxury newly built ground floor apartment within a small block with a communal swimming pool and children’s pool, with a grassy area ideal for soaking up the rays. The apartment is 300 metres walk to the natural beach, and is ideal for couples, friends or families.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol is known as the sunshine coast, the reason being the amount of sunshine for most of the year; long hot summers, warm spring and autumn where you can sit by the pool or swim in the Mediterranean sea. Perfect year round climate.

Head up the coast to Marbella to hang out with the rich and famous in this shoppers’ paradise resort. People watch in Puerto Banus, the millionaires’ playground with the most amazing boats. Smaller boats can be gazed at Sotogrando marina whilst sipping a cocktail, which is 10 minutes down the coast. If you fancy a trip up the Rock then 20 minutes away is Gibraltar, home of the pesky monkeys and fantastic duty free bargains.

Further afield explore the amazing gorge and bullring of Ronda, about 2 hours away, or alternatively take the mountain train from Algeciras, with views that you can’t get from the road. Head to Cadiz, Seville, Cordoba and Granada or to the whitewashed villages such as Mijas. Use the apartment as a base to explore, even go ski-ing in the Sierra Nevada mountains, 2½ hours drive away.

The area is one of the best golfing capitals of Europe with numerous courses to choose from, such as the world famous home of the Ryder Cup, Valderama, San Roque and Alcaidesa which are all close by. La Duquesa Golf and Country Club is only five minutes down the road, with wonderful sea and mountain views and for the non-golfers, tennis, squash and day spa.


Duquesa / Manilva area

Aldea Beach is 5 minutes walk away. It has many local Chiringuitos (beach restaurants), that serve fresh fish, salads and cold drinks, open from spring to autumn. There is a wonderful traditional Spanish restaurant within 300 metres which serves fantastic fresh suckling pig, along with many other local national dishes.

Castillo – stroll down the beach and explore the remains the castle. Relax with a few shops, restaurants and bars.

Port of Duquesa - quaint cosmopolitan port 5 mins drive away or a leisurely 40 minute walk from the apartment. Cosmopolitan feel with many lively bars and plenty of restaurants. There is an internet café in Duquesa.

Sabinillas – nearest town just past Duquesa. Lovely beach promenade, quiet town, very Spanish feel.

Estepona – about 20 minutes drive. Large port, choice of many restaurants and bars. Attractive to walk about, long sandy beach blue flag beach with promenade.

Casares – 20 minutes drive. Stunning white village (pueblo) up in the mountains. Lovely views. Couple of bars/restaurants.

The apartment is 60 minutes from Malaga airport or 20 minutes from Gibraltar. The low cost airlines fly to both airports. A good website is www.skyscanner.net to search all the routes available with the numerous different carriers.

From Malaga take the excellent toll road AP7 (less than €10) and hardly any traffic. Alternatively take the A7 coastal road with spectacular views.

Car hire is highly recommended, try www. carjet.com, www.amigoautos.com, www.bravocarhire.co.uk.

The compact kitchen has oven and hob with stainless steel overhead extractor fan, microwave oven, large fridge freezer, pans, utensils, glasses and crockery. There is an ironing board and iron.

The living/dining room is contemporary style with marble flooring throughout, two high quality leather sofas, dining room table and 4 leather chairs, coffee table, large bookcase, 32” LCD TV and DVD player (a library of DVDs is supplied but bring you own as well). Sliding patio doors complete with security locks lead onto a large balcony.

Master bedroom with en-suite has double bed with two bedside cabinets. Fitted wardrobes with plenty of coathangers and drawers, large storage unit. Bathroom, with shower over bath, hand basin and WC, with sliding patio doors leading to balcony.

Bedroom two has two twin beds, bedside cabinet, fitted wardrobe with drawers.

There is a separate bathroom with shower in enclosed cubicle, hand basin and WC.

The apartment is fitted with heating/air conditioning throughout.

Further details outdoors:
Access to the complex is via the main front entrance which has a security code. There are sensor lights in the corridors and underground car park. Lift to all floors.

The apartment has a full length balcony which is accessed from the living room and master bedroom, ideal for those early evening sundowners. It has table and four lounger chairs with parasol.

The communal swimming pool and children’s pool are landscaped and form a natural suntrap. There is a toilet and shower with changing room.


Further details

The accommodation will be cleaned before your arrival with fresh towels and bed linen and cleaned after departure. Note that beach towels are not provided and I would appreciate that the towels are not used by the pool.


Conditions

All prices are for 7 nights.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 secures your booking. This will be deducted from your balance. You can pay by cheque or bank transfer in sterling.

Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to departure.

Refundable £150 security deposit is required at time of booking and will be returned 14 days after return of keys the property has been inspected.

Travel insurance – you are responsible for taking out appropriate travel insurance.
