The Costa del Sol region


If you like the sun, the Costa del Sol is the place for you at any time of year. Its not surprising it's one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations with average annual temperatures of 18ºC and over 300 days of sunshine per year.
You can do as much or a little as you want. For the energetic, there are around 70 Costa del Sol golf courses on the "Costa del Golf" which can be played all year round as well as a whole range of other activities available such as sailing, scuba diving, horse riding, dolphin safaris, etc. The list is endless. Or just soak up the sun on any of the award winning beaches.
Travelling from Malaga or Gibraltar along the Costa del Sol is easy using the coast road with its spectacular views or faster Toll Roads. Mix with the rich and famous in Marbella and Puerto Banus, visit the wonderful beach resorts of Fuengirola or Estapona or marvel at the spectacular Rock of Gibraltar although don't forget your passport!
The Duquesa / Duquesa Village area
At the western end of the Costa del Sol is Puerto de la Duquesa, a beautiful marina nestled between 2 blue flag beaches Just 1 KM from San Luis de Sabinillas. Although much quieter and more family orientated than the nearby Puerto Banus and Sotogrande there is still ample nightlife and local attractions to keep you busy.
The attractive promenades encircling the port offer a variety of restaurants, intimate bars and cafés in which to while away the days. The vast choice of eating and drinking options include French, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai and, of course, Spanish with its fresh, local fish. Numerous services and grocers are also on hand.
Duquesa Village is located in the hills overlooking the port with some stunning views of the coast and surrounding mountains. Whatever you want from a holiday, you can have it here. Relaxing walks, kids' entertainment, great nightlife. Its perfect for families, golfers and couples alike. This apartment is the ideal base for your holiday on the Costa del Sol.

Daily cheap flights from most UK airports with flight time being about 2.30 hours.
Daily services operate from Most UK Airports including London Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Bristol, East Midlands, Liverpool, Luton, Stansted and Newcastle to Malaga or Gibraltar.
Low cost airlines include Jet2, Thomson Fly, BMI Baby, Easyjet, Ryanair or Charter with My Travel, Thomas Cook, First Choice and Monarch.
Drive time from Gibraltar is about 25mins and Malaga is about 50mins. From Malaga, follow Cadiz / Algeciras along the coast using the motorway A7 or the new AP7 (Autopista). From Gibraltar is using the same roads towards Estapona / Marbella.

We had wonderful warm sunny weather and made good use of the very nearby swimming pool which was minutes walk away from the accomodation. The Appartment was in quiet location, while also being just a short drive to main marina, where there was a very good choice of Bars and Restaurants to enjoy the Bays views and night life. The local beaches which were only ten minutes by car appeared clean and we found a nice spot near a Beach Bar where you could hire a sun bed for a very reasonable cost. All in all we had a fabulous week, very relaxing and can highly recommend staying in this spacious Appartment which was clean and had everything you needed for your stay. |

For stays under 1 week there will be a charge of £30 for the cleaning of the apartment and towels and linen.
