Situated in Duquesa, Costa Del Sol, with its exceptionally good weather all year round, the apartment offers everything the holidaymaker could wish for. It is set in an exclusive Spanish resort built in the style of a typical Andalucian village located in the hillside 1km inland from the beach and Duquesa Port.
The communal pool with sunbeds and parasols is beautifully landscaped and offers the addition of a toddlers pool in the immediate vicinity. The guests lounge, bar and restaurant over looks the pool area providing all you need for a day by the pool or in the sun.

The extensive terrace is ideal for all year round. Further benefits include private secure underground parking and a full range of hotel style facilities with WIFI internet access.

The resort enjoys beautiful tropical gardens with attractive fountains and a well-equipped enclosed children’s play area with mini golf and paddle tennis. Further facilities include a gym, spa, sauna, jacuzzi, paddle tennis, good restaurant (with an all day menu ranging from piri piri prawns to a full English breakfast) and bar with comfortable lounge area overlooking the swimming pool and children’s pool.

Please be advised that check in is available from 16:00pm and check out will be at 10:00am (when the cleaners will arrive).
During the 'off peak' season we will try to accommodate you at whatever time you wish to arrive and depart the accommodation.
Booking Notes:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. The balance is payable 10 days prior to departure for your holiday. The property is prepared/cleaned at start of your holiday, if you require extra cleaning or linen during your stay (beach towels not included at the property) please mention when booking as this is extra. You can pay by cheque, bank transfer or Paypal.
Please add £150 or 150 Euros damage deposit, totally refundable on your return.

You are required to have appropriate travel and personal insurance. The owners cannot accept any liability for injury or loss of possessions during the period of their holiday.

The Costa del Sol region


Andalucía is often regarded as the meeting point between Europe, Africa and the seas. The region is steeped in history and dominated by a mixture of cultures: Roman ruins, Moorish towers, Renaissance churches and Gothic monuments all bear witness to its colourful past. Here traditions are deeply rooted in everyday life as demonstrated by the many religious festivals held throughout the year.
The Costa del Sol is, of course, renowned for its golf courses and boasts an impressive range of courses designed to challenge the novice and the seasoned player alike. The privileged climate of the area makes golf enjoyable all year round. Valderrama, near Estepona, has hosted the Ryder Cup in recent years.
The numerous beaches range from the popular holiday beaches which are to be found around Marbella - with excellent water sports facilities including windsurfing and deep sea diving - to natural and less crowded beaches further along the coastline.
Some of the most exclusive shops in Spain are to be found in the 'jet set' towns of Marbella and Puerto Banús. San Pedro also offers excellent shopping and restaurants. Puerto Banús and Sotogrande attract the many luxurious yachts and boats which sail the Mediterranean, whilst Estepona still retains the magical charm of a traditional fishing village. In all these towns there is an abundance of the finest restaurants specialising in superb fresh seafood and delicious local cuisine.
The delightful town of Ronda (50 minus by car) with its breathtaking views and fantastic restaurants and shops and the traditional white Spanish village of Casares (20 mins by car) are well worth a visit as is a drive to Gibraltar with its infamous monkeys. If you have time a day trip to Morocco, North Africa on the ferry (35 euros from the town of Tarifa - renowned for its windsurfing and kite surfing opportunities with the addition of great shops and hotels) is a must. If you stay in Tarifa the ‘Hurricane Hotel’ is fully recommended!
For that touch of holiday luxury - just past Estepona is the very upmarket beach club ‘Laguna Village’ with equally upmarket shops and restaurants. A day on a beach sunbed will cost you 25 euros and a bed by the pool 45 euros but you will enjoy contemporary elegance, music and service from exotic Spanish locals! Spend your last day here as a treat to yourself! Nearby this beach during the high season you can also hire your own jet ski for that extra holiday rush!
Take a trip to the historic town of Jerez, in the sherry producing region.
There are plenty of activities for al the family: a first class equestrian centre in Estepona, numerous tennis courts at El Madroñal country Club, not far from La Heredia, aqua parks at Puerto Banús and Estepona, and a wonderful zoo/safari and nature park at Selwo, Estepona. There are fascinating museums, exposition centres and art galleries, particularly in Málaga, the birthplace of Picasso. Gibraltar is less than one hour's drive away and within two hours you can be skiing on the slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Duquesa
Duquesa itself offers uncrowded beaches with numerous beach bars or ‘Chiringuitos’, restaurants serving both local and English cuisine, supermarkets, banks and shops. A sun bed with parasol can be hired on this beach for only 4 euros a day!
Duquesa is renowned for the golfing opportunities and there are more than 40 golf courses along the Costa del Sol coastline and the area surrounding Duquesa boasts some of the best including Valderama, Sotogrande, San Roque just 15 mins drive and Estepona Golf Club less than 10 mins amongst the many.
Duquesa Port (less than 5 minutes by car) is a must with an array of restaurants and bars and a fantastic atmosphere both during the day and in the evening - whether it is Paella you seek or a good English fry up!
Supermarkets; Less than 5 mins from the property by car Eroski supermarket has everything you will need for your holiday including all those home comforts you usually miss out on! Above Eroski you will find a restaurant called The Clubhouse where you will get traditional english food and value for money.
Sabanillas
Adjacent to Duquesa is the town of Sabanillas with more shops and facilites. From Sabanillas you can walk along this popular beach promenade towards Estepona. Towards the end of the promenade an array of restaurants line the street offering all kinds of cuisine and entertainment.
Sabanillas beach is one of the most popular and during the high season will become busy. This beach continues through the town of Estepona.
Estepona
Estepona is perhaps the most developed of the coastal towns with an array of shops and facilities. The beach here – like Sabanillas can be very busy however if you proceed towards the far end of the beach you will find more space to yourself! We have found (during the high season of course) that it is here that you will find the best ‘Chiringuitos’ namely ‘The Blue Dolphin’ near Carrefour supermarket which serves fantastic food and beer at good prices. They also offer dolphin expeditions widely renowned as being a fantastic experience.
Carrefour is a fantastic 'hypermarket' where you be able to buy absolutely anything that you may need for your holiday in Spain.
Estepona market on a Sunday and a Wednesday offers leather goods, jewellery, clothes much more. Set within the marina with its array of restaurants and supermarket this morning out offers something for everyone.

The property is only 50 minutes by car from Malaga airport and at most 30 minutes from Gibraltar airport.
I recommend Europa car hire from Gibraltar - available through www.carjet.co.uk - once you have registered with this site it is very user friendly. I have also used Car Jet to search for cars from Malaga and through them used Malaga car hire who were also very competitive and very good.
If you search for 'car rental Gibraltar/Malaga' on Google you will be able to compare all available companies for yourself. However beware in opting for the very cheapest from Malaga you may be subject to delays whilst waiting for your car!

The apartment itself was great, the complex with a good pool area and the gym was oustanding.
