Home description
Our apartment is luxuriously furnished with two bedrooms, one double and one twin, two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. There is a kitchen and laundry area and a large sitting/dining room. The apartment is fully air-conditioned with marble floors throughout. It is on the first floor with views from the balcony to the blue flag sandy beach, the swimming pools and the gardens.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
There is a Sunday market at Sabanillas. Watersports are available high season on the beach. Nearby Tarifa is a surfers paradise. Duquesa's golf and country club is a championship 18 hole Robert Trent Jones course. It is 400m away and overlooks the Mediterranean with views out to North Africa and Gibraltar. There are more than 60 golf courses along the 'Costa del Golf.' Valderrama, Sotogrande, Los Arqueros and Monte Mayor are a few of the many recommended Golf courses within a 30 minute drive. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit in Andalucia. Marbella is arguably the Costa del Sol's most up market resort. It certainly still attracts the rich and famous and is a very chic beachside retreat for the wealthy international crowd. If you want to join them on the promenade, it is around 30 minutes from La Duquesa. Granada is about 2 hours drive away and Seville 2.5 hours.
Duquesa area
The Marina de la Duquesa complex is in a quiet area on the seafront yet it is only a minute from the marina and port area of Puerto de la Duquesa. There you will find numerous shops and bars. Restaurants include cuisine from France, Italy, Thailand, China, India, Great Britain and Ireland as well as Spain. It is about one hour's drive from Malaga airport and 30 minutes from Gibraltar. The marina has more than 300 berths. There are no high rise hotels here to spoil the view. The blue flag beach stretches as far as Sabanillas and on to Estepona. On the other side, it winds around the coast to Sotogrande. The waterfront is closed to traffic making it very safe for children. In the summer there is a street market. Estepona is a pleasant seaside town with many shops and restaurants. There is a lovely promenade and a huge Carrefour supermarket if you are self catering. There is a market on a Wednesday with a good choice of local produce. In the hills behind Estepona is a safari park called Selwo that comes highly recommended. Allow at least half a day. Other family attractions include a combined water and theme park called Prado World with water slides, mini golf, rollerskating and other kids activities.
How to get there
Fly to Malaga or Gibraltar and take a car or a taxi along the E15 costal motorway to Manilva/Duquesa. One hour's easy drive from Malaga or 25 minutes from Gibraltar.

There is a designated secure parking space beneath the block and a lift. Lively marina area with shops, bars and restaurants 2 minutes walk away. Table tennis tables also available to residents.
