With sweeping views down to the sea, and right across the coast to Puerto Banus, our immaculate Apartment makes the perfect retreat for your relaxing holiday or short break. On first opening the door to your luxury holiday home, you might be struck by the blue of the sparkling ocean, and cloudless sky, as the views are truly wonderful. Offering two light and airy double bedrooms, each serviced by their own marble clad bathroom one featuring a spa bath, and beyond, a spacious lounge with cream marble floor, the apartment also boasts a well equipped kitchen with everything you should need to rustle up a gourmet meal using the finest local ingredients. For convenience there is a separate utility room with laundry facilities, and a large, entrance hall giving a sense of space and calm. Two comfortable white sofas provide a focal point in the living room, followed by the vista through the huge sliding doors to the tropical plant edged balcony beyond, which can also be accessed from the master bedroom. Here is where you might decide to while away your days, as being partially covered, it provides welcome shade on the hottest of days. Dining on the terrace is also a must, whether it be for breakfast served in the morning sunshine, or a dinner after dark, with twinkling stars and lights shining down the coast, your candle lit dinner will be a memorable affair. The apartment is furnished with everything you need for your stay including Nespresso Coffee machine, microwave, wi-fi, desk & printer, hair dryer and large flat screen tv, with sky free sat blu ray dvd player and apple tv. Costa del Sol is well known for its year round sunny, mild climate and for an amazing range of Golf courses available. We enjoy warm sunshine and clear blue skies in January, and off season, when the lower temperatures are perfect for golf, exploring or long walks.

There are many villages in the area to explore, each with their own character and amenities. The views from villages set high in the hills are spectacular.


Duquesa Village Area

Duquesa Village is a peaceful gated complex set within its own tropical gardens, boasting 5 swimming pools, and a paddle tennis court, together with secure parking. The complex is approximately 20 minutes walk from Puerto La Duquesa, a picturesque marina which possesses a wide range of bars, cafes and restaurants serving magnificent seafood. A taxi back up the hill is advised at a cost of around 8 Euros. There are long sandy beaches on both sides of the marina, offering charming beach cafes which also rustle up wonderful local dishes. The beaches here have gained a European Blue flag for cleanliness and good amenities.

A promenade, which has exercise areas with outdoor gym equipment at several points, links Duquesa to the neighbouring town of Sabinillas on one side and the small fishing village of El Castillo on the other, which is perfect for a leisurely stroll or cycle ride.

The bustling waterfront SABINILLAS has a wide range of beach front restaurants, shops, cafes and bars while EL CASTILLO has more traditional Spanish restaurants and tapas bars serving local fish.

SOTOGRANDE is a short drive away with its famous marina, polo matches, and luxury villas. In the area there are beautiful drives through woods and vineyards into the mountains, where you can stop at traditional and picturesque white villages (Pueblos) such as RONDA, and CASARES, or drive through the natural parks and stop at the the many viewpoints, to enjoy stunning views of the mountains, and the coast which stretches out in front of you to GIBRALTAR and north Africa. A spectacle that can be enjoyed during March are nesting Storks by the score, who have developed the cunning tactic of building their twiggy nests on municipal street lights, and towers.

You might enjoy a visit to GIBRALTAR, where you can walk or travel by cable car to the famous rock, to see the famous Barbary Apes. Another town with stunning views is RONDA reached by a winding road up the mountain. You can take a train from nearby San Roque for a stylish trip with wonderful scenery taking about an hour. When you get there join the locals for some Churos, a type of freshly cooked doughnut, often dunked in chocolate.

The nearest golf course is La Duquesa Golf which is viewable from the apartment, but there are several others in the area such as San Roque, Valderrama, Valle Romano, Los Flamingos, to name just a few.

The nearby glamorous MARBELLA and PUERTO BANUS offer plenty of opportunity for designer shopping, where you browse, and do some famous faces spotting.

For those who enjoy organised attractions, there are Selwo Hills Safari Park in ESTEPONA. and Tivoli world and an aqua-park in Benelmadena, a little further down the coast. In Estepona You can book speedboats which take you out to sea in search of whales and dolphins, and there are wonderful restaurants and evening walks through the beautiful award winning town which is pedestrianised.

Seville and Granada are about 2 hours drive from Duquesa and you can also take a ferry from Algeciras to Morocco (1hr on the ferry).

"Lovely spacious, well appointed apartment, with great decor, and balconies with long sea views ."

Apartment is an easy drive from Malaga airport , with underground parking.It is a very light, airy, spacious, well appointed, immaculate apartment. A selection of restaurants and shops are just a short drive away as are the port and sandy beaches. A great place for a relaxing holiday, would highly recommend it.

"Luxury beautiful apartment with stunning views"

This apartment is beautiful and furnished to a very high standard and is spotless and clean. The owners have taken great care with things that set it apart such as lovely furniture, bedding and very thoughtful things such as two hair dryers and also a pair of straighteners.The views from the apartment are stunning looking out to the sea and also closer by to the golf course. The complex itself is clean and well presented, the pools were not too busy in the height of summer and it felt safe with security guards on the gates. The port and beach is a 30 minute walk downhill and a taxi back up the hill was €8.50 in the evening. As we didn't mind the walk down and taxi back we didn't hire a car but this would be good if you want to explore other resorts near by although we were told the buses were very good. It was also fantastic that the owners arranged for someone to do our food shopping for us so we could get straight on with our holiday. Nearest good supermarket is in the port so we just topped up our shopping as needed. Lots of very nice restaurants to eat in and all reasonably priced. Very nice market stalls in the evenings selling jewellery, bags etc.

"All the comforts of home with an amazing view and added luxury"

My husband and I stayed for our mini-moon. We were blown away with the amazing service the apartment offered. Upon arriving we were met with smiling faces and they had gone to a lot of effort to make our stay very special with a fully stocked fridge with tapas and champagne. The standard of the furnishing is beautiful and it makes you really feel at home with all the creature comforts that you can miss when away – washing machine, dishwasher, sky TV, wifi, dvds, coffee maker and even blankets on the sofa. During the day it was like we had our own private pool - it was very peaceful. The view from the balcony is amazing and is such a treat when having breakfast or some drinks before heading into town to the resturants.

We are so pleased you had a relaxing break after all the excitement of your wedding. Thank you for your kind comments which are gratefully received... We hope you will return to the apartment in the not too distant future.

The apartment is well furbished with excellent attention to detail. The view from the balcony is breath taking with a brilliant view of the rising sun. The owner is extremely competent and caters well to the needs of the holiday maker by providing helpful information such as direction and photos from the airport to the apartment. Overall, Duquesa Village is an ideal place for an enjoyable holiday.
