Home description

The house (135m2) is fully furnished to a very high standard and equipped with all needs for a self catering holiday. From the terraces (70m2) you have seaview and sun from the morning to the evening. The house has 3 bedrooms/2 bathromms and has a capacity to sleep 8 adults. Aircondition in all rooms.

The development itself is quiet and has beautiful communal gardens with palm trees and flowers and you will also find a new children's playground 250 m away from the house. Tennis and paddletennis in the development.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

Manilva Beach is situated near La Duquesa 10 kilometres to the west of Estepona, and due to his location on the sunbathed Costa del Sol, one really enjoys the fantastic coastal clima with summer weather over 300 days per year.

The Internet magazine, www.spaniaweb.net, writes, among other things, the following: "Nearly half way between Málaga and Gibraltar lies one of the best kept secrets of Costa del Sol. The area known as La Duquesa offers both clean and white beaches and fantastic nature with rough mountains and an exciting wildlife."


Duquesa / Manilva area

Manilva Beach is the best starting point for a successful holiday if you are on family vacation, on a golf vacation or simply in the company of friends and colleagues:

·The explorer: central location for exciting excursions (Gibraltar, Casares, Ronda, Morocco, Marbella) and spectacular excursion areas

·The golf player: central location to the greatest golf courts along the coast (800 metres to the 18-hole Duquesa Golf Course)

· The family with small children: residential area safe for children and very popular among families with small children all year; as a rule it does not take long for the children to find themselves playmates. If the children have fun, the same happens with the family, and so the whole family enjoys a good holiday. (There is no main road between the houses and the beach.)

Taking a short tour along the coast (250 metres) one reaches Castillo, a small fishing village. Here there are many good restaurants and nice bars, and one of the best fish restaurants, the "Meson del Castillo". In Castillo one can enjoy Spanish wine in peace and contentment since here time stops and one can continue experience the "real" Spain.

If one wishes to return at night to meet more people and see more nightlife one goes walking along the beach (600 metres) and reaches the port, Puerto De La Duquesa.
In Puerto De La Duquesa, one finds most of the night establishments: bars, restaurants, banks, post-office, shops, kiosks and exciting crowds. Apart from this, a short drive takes one to both Estepona and Marbella for even more shopping or hectic nightlife.

The housing estate Manilva Beach is situated, as its name indicates, next to the spectacular and long beach bearing the same name (there is not any main road between the terraced houses and the beach).
Manilva Beach is not overpopulated yet, in contrast with many other beaches along the coast.

On the beach, there is also swimming pool provided. The nearest playground is located about 250 metres.
There is also located a Serviceoffice for renters centrally in the complex. The office has regular opening hours with english, spanish and scandinavian spoken service. The principal task of the Service Office is to organize everything so that your stay on Manilva Beach turns out to be as enjoyable as possible.

The golf club and golf course, La Duquesa Golf, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. are located 800 metres from Manilva Beach. The golf course consists of 18 holes which are first-class taking into account not only the field itself but the facilities too. Apart from golf, the club offers tennis, squash and a fully equipped gymnasium with a certified trainer.

A lunch here is highly recommended whether you play golf or not. It is also possible to take lessons from professional golf players, at a beginner level or just if you want to improve your handicap. In this area, there are a lot of other challenging and beautiful golf courses, within only some minutes by car. If this is not enough, there are over 40 golf courses within a driving distance of an hour.

"Our stay on Manilva Beach was fantastic indeed. Lots of fine excursions combined with bathing, beach life and grilling in the terrace. There were also some evenings in the city next to the pier to eat and see life around. We visited the restaurant San Rafael right by and that was a great experience. The dolphin safari made a memorable impression on the children together with the bathing and the swimming–pool in the surrounding area. The wild monkeys in Gibraltar, which climbed all the children, were also the favourites.
