La Paloma de Manilva is located on Spain’s Costa del Sol, on the coast between Estepona and Gibraltar. 3 miles from Puerto Duquesa & the stunning beach side town of Sabinillas, 5 mins from the exclusive Sotogrande Marina & Spanish Village of Torreguardario, and within easy reach of Estepona, Marbella & Puerto Banus. Other activities include water park for the children, wild life park, riding, sailing, polo, diving, walking, culture and history

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
PLEASE NOTE, before you read any further.. Manilva / Puerto de Duqeusa & Sabinillas (all within 5 miles of each other) are not your typical British Holiday Resort, e.g. Magaluf or Benidorm, full of burger bars and fish & chip shops. This area is very upmarket and not frequented by Package Tours. If you like package tour holdiays and do not like doing your own thing then Manilva is not the place for you!!
Other activities include riding, sailing, polo, diving, walking, water park for the children & Selwo wildlife reserve not far away. Culture and history can be found in the cities of Cadiz, Codoba, Estepona, Granada, Jerez, Seville &, Malaga, with a trip to Gibralatar only 20 mins drive down the road.

The areas mild climate is the root attraction that makes it possible to enjoy the beaches and a wide variety of outdoor activities year round.
While the rest of Europe battles wind, rain and snow, the Costa del Sol enjoys an average twenty-six days of sunshine each January. Rainfall is scarce and temperatures mild.
With less than fifty days of rain per year, draughts often threaten in the summer months. The typical rainy season lasts just four months, stretching from November to February. But even when umbrellas and raincoats are the order of the day, the thermometer rarely dips below a mild 13º C from December to March.
Duquesa / Manilva area

EATING OUT LOCALLY (a full information pack is available in the apartment)
If you do not want to go far then there are 2 local beach bars which serve excellent food (in particular fish and meat) which are very reasonably priced. There is also the Playa Parisa Restaurant (Moroccan), just across the road, which serves excellent food of all varieties, and has live entertainment some evenings.
Only 3-4 kms up the road is the Puerto de la Duquesa where there is every restaurant imaginable: typical Spanish, Italian (including Speciality Pizza) Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Sea Food, Good Old British Pub Food, Steak Houses – basically there is anything you need in the port and more… Sabinillas is a small town next door to the port, it is very typically Spanish with very little tourist influence, however there are some fantastic restaurants on the sea front and tapas bars in the narrow streets.
How to get there
FLY TO MALAGA - Various budget airlines fly into Malaga from most main European Airports.
Scheduled International Flights also fly into Malaga from most European Cities. If you need to fly internally from Madrid or Barcelona to Malaga then Span Air or Iberia offer a wide range of flights.
FLY TO GIBRALTAR - British Airways and Flymonarch have daily services from various London Airports
Car Hire recommendations available on request.
El Oasis is approximately a 1 hour drive from Malaga Airport & a 20 minute drive from Gibraltar Airport. From either airport it is really easy to find. We have excellent driving directions.
It is possible to take the bus from Malaga Airport to our apartments - detaiils on request

Rental Rates for 7 people include the cost of an addtional bed in Apartment 1, which is a 3 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed, ground floor apartment with large terraces close to the swimming pool.
Kindly note that Apartment 1 is large enough to accommodate / sleep 7 people, using a portable bed. This is usually charged at the cost of £75 / E100 per week, but is INCLUDED in the rental rates shown above for 7 people . The additional bed MUST be ordered when making your reservation.
Rental Rates for Apartment 2 are slightly cheaper - see property ref 34558 - this is our 2 bedroomed, 2 bathroomed, 2nd floor apartment with 2 terraces (1 front with ocean & pool views and 1 kitchen terrace that catches the late afternoon sun), close to the swimming pool.

We absolutely loved your gorgeous terrace with the sea views. You have furnished and equipped it so well; no wonder you get loads of bookings. We also fell in love with Jane & Derrick’s apartment upstairs with the fantastic sea views, and the lovely terrace off the kitchen – “great for catching the late afternoon sun”!!
