Own jacuzzi lovely spa resort
About the home
Near La Duquesa Port , and Marina, with its vibrant night life and white sandy beaches your apartment is quiet and private, tastefully furnished, air conditioned, has real marble floors and has a well equipped kitchen. Please look as some professional photos and the price it should be ( twice and 3 times what I am charging for an identical apartment on the same resort). This will show you the quality in photos which is what you want to see google "appartementos el goletos" You have privacy on the furnished terrace (55sq.m) no one walks past as you are in a small cul-de-sac with a secure terrace gate that leads you approximately 20 metres to the pool,hot-tubs, steam-room, gym sauna, picnic area, children's safe play space paddle tennis, mini golf, olive tree lined exotic gardens the onsite bar and popular restaurant and many other facilities including free wi-fi.The kitchen looks onto a typical Andulucian mosaic courtyard with flowers and trees in the centre. All the many resort facilities are included in the price. The resort has something for all the family, a fitness suite for total relaxation and fitness play area and paddle pools for the children and you are very near the Golf and Country Club which has its own spa and beauty treatments for ultra pampering. The whole resort has been built to a very high standard, lush architecture mingles with tropical gardens and mature trees and reflects some of the many influences of its Andulucian and Moorish history. You can see more photos of the resort taken by professionals by typing into google " appartementos pueblo el goleto". Our apartment is identical but a ground floor one. you will also see that our prices are from 1/3 to 1/2 of theirs!!! We just do not have their advertising budget and also like to have control of who we rent to but you can see that it is a very up market resort with many facilities. The advantage of having the hotel reception is that the staff are local and know all the sightseeing trips plus there are many leaflets there and they will call a taxi if you have not hired a car at the airport (by far the best and cheapest option..from £6.50 a day)
Exquisite views of mountains, and sea, and near to Marbella Puerto Banus and Gibraltar the apartment is very luxurious and you have your own secure garage beneath the apartment with your own remote controlled key. There are so many places to visit within a 5 minute drive, that is why I recommend a car, there are the intact Roman Baths in Manilva, the beautiful white village of Casares, the white sandy beaches of Las Sabinillas and the surrounding beach cafes, an Indian market at San Pedro, little villages in the Ronda mountains, Gibraltar is 20 minutes drive away, Algiciras is also 20 minutes away and you can
However you may choose, as many do, to stay in the private estate or on the terrace which has sun and shade all day. With pools.children's play area and picnic area in the tropical gardens also giving sun and shade and gym, pool sauna and hot tub are very near your terrace yet do not spoil your privacy .. The pool area has more views of the mountain foothills and as you sunbathe there or on the terrace you may hear the sound of the goats bells. The restaurant and bar are open 10a.m. till midnight and for variety there are so many bars and restaurants in the port and actually on the beach open till around 3 a.m.
The apartments are located near to La Duquesa Golf Course Designed by Robert Trent Jones, this 18-hole, 72par course is a must for all serious golfers. The course winds round El Hacho beacon hill with magnificent views over the Mediterranean, Gibralta and to Africa. It has five par 3's, eight par 4's, and five par 5's, with two small man-made lakes. It offers an interesting and varied game due to its long fairways and has two clearly different parts. The first 9 holes are of a certain "English style" with narrow fairways and high greens. Particularly beautiful is the 4th hole for its magnificent views, but it can also easily give you trouble with your score card. The 8th par 3 is only 125m long but has a drop of 30m! The second 9 are easier with wide fairways, although the green will supply additional difficulties. There are approximately 30 golf courses within easy reach by car so it is a golfers paradise

Further details indoors:
This is a luxury apartment 104 meters square 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms with a furnished terrace of 55 sq.m for al fresco dining. It has a well equipped kitchen and is tastefully furnished throughout with expensive furniture. The Private Estate is mainly owner occupied, upmarket and quiet and has everything you could possibly need so a car isnt essential, but advisable. The beach, port and golf are all nearby and the microclimate between the mountains and the beach make it a 12 months a year warm sunny location. The charming port of La Duquesa is a short drive or walk and has a marina with full facilities and water sports, or sit in the bars and restaurants enjoying the sea views and the many ex-pats who will try and persuade you to join them in their permanent, or half the year(English Winter) holiday.. English is spoken by almost all the Northern European permanent residents. Others just spend winter here and save on their fuel bills, and some are here 9 months a year and only rent their apartment in high season.
However if you want to hire a car there are the sophisticated jetsetting coastal towns such as Marbella and Puerta Banus, with their international bars and restaurants and night life. Puerto de la Duquesa is very similar to Puerto Banus in everything but price. Alternatively there is a nearby ferry to Ceuta or Tangiers which could be done in a day-trip, or go further into Morocco and visit Casablanca or Marrakesh.
With a car there are some exquisite villages in the mountains to visit or swim wth dolphins off Gibraltar( a25 minute drive away) For the golfer you are a short walk from La Duquesa Golf and Country Club which also has its own spa, health and beauty treatments. 40 other golf courses are a short drive away.
Further details outdoors:
La Duquesa ‘The Port Of The Duchess’ and La Duquesa Golf and Country Club are both nearby. The resort which is quiet and well equipped has a sauna, fitness room, steam-room, jacuzzi and hot-tub. The gardens are beautiful with mature trees and exotic flowers and has special picnic areas, a childrens playground, paddle tennis and mini-golf. The resort is on a natural hill in the foothills of the Ronda mountains (you can hear the goat-bells) and the views of sea and mountains are spectacular. It is a micro-climate with exceptional records of sunshine 12 months of the year.
Its essence and its distinction is that the area retains a vast amount of untouched natural scenery and authentic local character - while sharing the fantastic climate and all the excellent services and infrastructure of the rest of the Costa del Sol.
Within easy reach of the airports of Malaga (45 minutes) and Gibraltar (25 minutes) Easyjet has cheap flights from Gatwick. to both Malaga and Gibraltar. All the cheap flights fly into Malaga. La Duquesa seems like a thousand miles away from the throng of the holiday resorts and offers an unparalleled quality of life in Southern Spain.
There are many attractions, which include: La Duquesa sports marina, miles of sandy beaches, promenades, bars, restaurants and cafés, numerous Championship 18 hole golf courses, the natural marvels of Andalusia, shopping and bustling nightlife minutes away and so much to enjoy on the tasteful resort with the sea and mountain views.
The picture postcard port La Duquesa offers full marina services for boating enthusiasts as well as a myriad of attractions for those with no aspirations to take to the water. The attractive promenades encircling the port offer a variety of international restaurants, intimate bars and cafés in which to while away the days.
Whether its miles of pristine beaches (many earning the European Blue Flag for cleanliness) or rugged mountains with their wildlife, the La Duquesa area offers every type of terrain. Rising virtually from the beaches, the mountains hide their medieval towns like little jewels of the famed White Villages. Every type of nature recreation is at hand including winter and spring skiing only 2 hours away in Granada..Mountain air and the beautiful spa resort with sunshine 12 months a year make it a perfect and affordable retreat from stress and grey skies an affordable restorative. Costa del Sol is well named the sun coast as it has between 330 to 360 days a year of sunshine
Further details
We are available for very low rate longer winter lets. These are negotiable according to length of stay. Positioned between sea and mountains Duquesa has an unusually pleasant micro-climate. While the rest of Europe battles wind, rain and snow the Costa del Sol enjoys mostly sunny days even in January. In winter it is mild. In fact, the mercury generally remains into the teens and twenties throughout the winter months. Meterological records show that the sun shines on the Costa del Sol for more than 300 days a year. Costa del Sol is not Spanish for “Sun Coast” for no reason.
In winter the region is protected from the biting winds to the north by the towering Sierras and yet it is cooled by sea breezes in the summer, so that the average annual temperature is a little under a very enjoyable 20C Unsurprisingly July and August can be very warm but still temperatures hover around the more bearable 30º C. The apartment has air-con and heating for the occasional cold night.
Conditions
We prefer payment in full with a secure credit/debit card payment, bank transfer or with paypal but this is flexible if you want to pay a deposit then the balance 6 weeks prior to arrival.

The Costa del Sol region
Climate
Positioned between sun scorched beaches and the Sierra Blanca /Ronda mountain range, Duquesa and its surroundings have an unusually pleasant micro-climate. While the rest of Europe battles wind, rain and snow the Costa del Sol enjoys mostly sunny days even in January. It completely missed the sub-zero temperatures of the winter in Europe January - February 2012 and had in fact a record sunny warm time of it! In winter in general it has mild temperatures In fact, the mercury generally remains into the teens and twenties throughout the winter months. Meterological records show that the sun shines on the Costa del Sol for more than 320 days a year. Costa del Sol is not Spanish for “Sun Coast” for no reason! In winter the region is protected from the biting winds to the north by the towering Sierras and yet it is cooled by sea breezes in the summer, so that the average annual temperature is a little under a very enjoyable 20º Unsurprisingly July and August can be very warm but still temperatures hover around the more bearable 30º C. Normally rain falls on less than 45 days a year. The wettest months tend to be March and April, but once Easter has passed, the rain tends not to return until the month of October when rain is still very rare and light. It is best known for its sandy beaches, luxurious apartments and villas, jet-set playgrounds and marinas, fabulous Marbella and intriquing nearby Gibraltar with its naval history, whale and dolphin trips and of course the famous apes. La Duquesa is of course in the South of the Costa del Sol and has its own exceptional microclimate but also is more unspoilt, unexplored and quiter with mountain scenery that is breathtaking.
The Duquesa area
La Duquesa ‘The Port Of The Duchess’
Its essence and its distinction is that the area retains a vast amount of untouched natural scenery and authentic local character - while sharing the fantastic climate and all the excellent services and infrastructure of the rest of the Costa del Sol. in fact it is warmer being closer to Africa. From the Duquesa Hills Resort where the apartment is located the coast of Africa can be seen. A drive of 20 minutes takes you to Algeciras where you can get a ferry to Marrocco and enter another world of North Africa, the city of Tangiers is where you land or quieter Ceuta. Quite possible for a day-trip.
Within easy reach of the airports of Malaga (40minutes) and Gibraltar (25 minutes), La Duquesa seems like a thousand miles away from the throng of the holiday resorts and offers an unparalleled quality of life in Southern Spain.
Among the many attractions, too numerous to list fully, include: La Duquesa Golf Club the port with its sports marina, miles of beautiful beaches, promenades, bars, restaurants and cafés, numerous Championship 18 hole golf courses, the natural marvels of Andalusia, shopping and bustling nightlife minutes away.
The picture postcard port La Duquesa offers full marina services for boating enthusiasts as well as a myriad of attractions for those with no aspirations to take to the water. The attractive promenades encircling the port offer a variety of international restaurants, intimate bars and cafés and beach cafes in which to while away the days. Two nights a week the port hosts a unique Crafts Market, popular with the local residents as well as visitors.
La Duquesa Golf and Country Club boasts an 18 holes course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., a technical masterpiece with wonderful sea and mountain views. Tennis Courts and Health spas rival those of your resort but cost 100 euros whereas your facilities on the Resort are free.
Further golfing challenges include: Alcaidesa, Valderrama, Sotogrande, La Cañada and San Roque and if this is not enough, there are another 40-odd courses within a short (20 mins approx) drive.
Every type of nature recreation is at hand including even winter and spring skiing only two hours away in Granada.
Cosmopolitan Life can be found only twenty minutes away in the "jet-set" city of Marbella with its hustle and bustle. Shopping experiences of every kind are available from the small shops and boutiques lining the cobble-stoned streets of Old Marbella , Puerto Banus and La Duquesa to the all under one roof shopping experience of the La Cañada shopping mall.
The Ronda mountain foothills surround the Resort giving wonderful clean air, superb views and marvellous walks among wild thyme and lavendar, some gorse bushes and heather may remind you of parts of Scotland but for the weather which is predictably sunny and warm.
Las Sabinillas is ideal for children with a huge bouncy castle on the sandy beach and huge adventure playground on the short walk from the port. The ice-cream bars are very tempting and tapas, cyber cafes and
very inexpensive restaurants with Spanish dishes are all "real Spain" and it is usual to sit outside and watch the
people walking by.The Spanish people seem to love these promenades and look very fit, fashionable and healthy. You may catch a fiesta (feast day) or a Saints day with the colours, floral displays and music so typically Spanish.
A hire car saves you a fortune in airport taxis, can cost as little as £6.50 a day for a new car and the service is terrific often meeting you at the airport for free and you drop off the keys in a box at the airport and park the car in the aiport car park..what service!!!
With a hire car you can take these wonderful day-trips. I am told Gibraltar is a must. A guest of mine went out on a boat off the coast of Gibraltar and swam with dolphins! My son went from Algeciras to Tangier for the day and drank mint tea which was so delicious he now has a garden full of mint and makes it for all his guests. Both Gibraltar and Algeciras are approximately 20 minutes drive from the resort.
San Pedro is about 15 minutes drive in the other direction on the way to Estepona. I found a beach cafe there that had an Indian market selling Indian jewellery, saris, dresses and carpets. I was on my way to Marbella which is a fascinating but rather expensive place. I spent all my money in the Indian market but got some bargains!
The craft market in Manilva also sells the occasional antique and some of it is of Moorish origin. Our resort has been carefully built to reflect Andalucian and Moorish archetecture, I love the way the Spanish take care with modern buildings and are proud to reflect the past. If you like this style you will love the resort, especially the view from the kitchen which looks onto a mosaic courtyard with a central theme of plants and young trees.
