Home description

This luxury hilltop detached villa, with secure parking, has a private pool and terraced areas furnished with sunbeds and a barbeque. There are beautiful open views towards the sea and mountains especially from your roof terrace. 5 mins drive to Duquesa port and Sotogrande harbour. The beach is a 10 minute walk down the hill and includes beachfront restaurant. Supermarkets are only 5 mins by car.

The luxury villa has underoof terrace to shade you from the sun with double sofas and table for your 'al fresco' dining or enjoying the panoramic views of the sea and mountains. The roof terrace has a table and seating and beautiful panoramic views to sea and mountains together with sundeds by the pool for sunbathing.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The climate in this region is warm and sunny for most of the year and is definitely a place to visit not only in the Summer but in the Spring and Autumn when the weather is ideal for golfers! . There are many old towns and villages between a 30 minute and 2 hour drive including Marbella, Estepona, Jerez, Ronda, Cadiz and Seville. Locally, Pueblo Nuevo de Guadiaro (10 mins drive) has bars, restaurants, shops, banks and all services; or while Gibraltar (25 mins drive) is a major tax-free shopping and tourist resort. There is also a Casino within a short drive. Tangiers in North Africa is only a short ferry ride away from either Algeciras or Tarifa so why not make a day trip over to another continent!

Golf - The area is a golfer's paradise with at least 9 golf courses within a 20 minute drive including San Roque I (the stunning par 72 Old Course designed by Dave Thomas which has hosted the Spanish Open, the European Tour Qualifying School and many other great events) and San Roque II (the New Course opened in 2004 and designed by Perry Dye in association with Seve Ballesteros which has already been used for the European Tour School final qualifying and last year hosted the Spanish Open). The Seve Ballesteros School of Golf and Driving Range are also close by.

Beaches - There is a lovely beach at Sabinillas (a 5minute drive away) there are watersports available including windsurfing, catamaran and dinghy sailing nearby. Sotogrande beach with its nearby marina is also only a 5 minute drive away.Estepona approx 15 mins drive has lovely beaches and beach restaurants and good nightlife

Watersports-The place for windsurfing and kiting is Tarifa which is about a 35 minute drive away. If this isn't your idea of fun why not try a whale watching trip out of Gibraltar! Sailing and Fishing trips can be organised from Sotogrande Marina or from Duquesa Marina 5 mins drive away.


Duquesa / Manilva area

Duquesa enjoys an advantageous location to the west of Marbella ­ sometimes called "the Other Costa del Sol". The essence in this distinction is that the area retains a vast amount of unspoiled natural scenery and authentic local character - while sharing the fantastic climate and all the excellent services and infrastructure of the rest of the Costa del Sol. Also nearby Estepona has lovely beaches and good nightlife.

Among the many attractions are:

Close to Duquesa and Sotogrande. A short drive from Gibraltar and Marbella or Banus. Everything you need is within a reachable distance. Lots of things close by to keep the children entertained. The local beach is at the bottom of the hill. The most popular chiringuito's are within a short distance of each other on our local beach.

Beach fishing is a popular attraction on Playa Paraiso, most tourists enjoy watching. The beach bar has the freshest fish. Castillo is only a short distance along the beach. Popular with both locals and tourists. It has quaint little bars and superb restaurants. A lovely place to spend your day.

The Chiringuito in Castillo is a modern and fresh version of the more traditional chiringuitos dotted along the coast.

How to get there

- Fly to Gibraltar, Malaga or Jerez - Gibraltar is only a 25 minute drive and Malaga and Jerez only 1 hour from the villa.
- Very cheap flights available to Jerez from Stanstead with RyanAir ; reasonable flights available to Gibraltar from Gatwick and Luton airports with BA and Monarch and there are a wealth of airlines flying to Malaga from all over including Easyjet.
- Car hire available at good prices from www.carjet.com or www.brunoscars.com (a local Spanish firm) from any airport.
- Taxis are available at Gibraltar Airport if you don't want to drive , a car really is essential.

Conditions

Arrival;
Should be after 1600 hours local time, The property must be vacated by 1000 hours on the day of departure.

Payment;
The deposit should be 30% of the total amount. To confirm the reservation for your holiday the confirmation/booking form must be returned with 30% deposit within 14 days of the verbal/email booking The remaining balance must be paid 8 weeks prior to departure.DAMAGES
A damage deposit of 250GPB is required, refundable assuming no damage/ breakages . The client agrees to pay for any breakages, losses or damage to the property. The deposit will be returned via post after the property has been inspected and provided the property has been left in the same state as your arrival .

No dogs or smoking in the villa allowed

Just to let you know we are back from our holiday and wanted to give you some feedback.

The villa is really lovely, it was ideal for us and beautifully furnished. The pool was great and had warmed up nicely with the lovely weather. There really isn't anything negative to say - we had a great holiday and enjoyed the local beaches and restaurants. There was a couple of minor problems but Duquesa Estates handled them really quickly and efficiently,hope you have continued success with your bookings!

We've just returned from our vacation.
We had a wonderful time and found your house to be very comfortable. You obviously spared no expense when furnishing it.
All of your information was helpful. We were disappointed to find that "Miel" was closed for vacation while we were there.
There were plenty of other places to eat, though.
Your gardener, Rene, was very nice and helpful as well. He shared a lot of information about the area.Thank you for making your house so comfortable.
