Our Spacious Apartment in Monte Duquesa just a few minutes from the beautiful Marina is perfectly situated for those wishing to avail of a quiet relaxing family holiday lazing by the pool or the nearby blue flag beaches or alternatively enjoy the many wonderful golf courses on your doorstep like Duquesa Golf Club(3 mins), Finca Cortesin(5 mins) and La Canada with Valderrama and San Roque only fifteen minutes from this beautiful resort.
This larger than average apartment of 120sq.metres complete with private secure underground parking, is at garden level allowing easy access for all ages and shares a community pool, kiddies splash pool and mature tropical gardens. The central area of this complex has two restaurants, a deli, bars, beauty salon and various other shops for the convenience of the residents and guests. Just a five minutes stroll away is the magnificent port of Duquesa with an abundance of fine bars and excellent restaurants to suit all tastes.

The Costa del Sol region
The Costa Del Sol (sun coast) enjoys a wonderful year round climate making it the ideal choice of destination for all types of holiday makers. Popularly known as the Costa del Golf with a choice of over 30 golf courses including the world famous Valderama and San Roque and now Finca Cortisan (home of the world match play for the next three years) only five minutes away, this area also provides many alternatives for non golfers such as the marinas of Puerto Banus, Marbella, Puerto Duquesa and Sotogrande.
Tarifa on the Costa De La Luz "where the Med. meets the Atlantic" world famous for wind and kite surfing and it's sand dunes and whale watching is less than an hour away (36mls). A day trip to Tangier (Morocco) can also be taken from here.
Away from the sandy beaches and facilities of the coast one can visit the white villages like Casares situated just a few miles inland. The famous rock of Gibraltar with it's Barbary Apes and Duty free shopping is just a twenty minute drive from Duquesa and well worth a visit.
Bahia Park in Algeciras is only 30 minutes away and is a wonderful water park for all ages.
Selwo Safari Park in Estepona is only a 15 minute drive away just off the N340 highway. It is home to 2,000 animals in semi-wild conditions.
The Duquesa / Monte Duquesa area
Duquesa's beautiful marina is situated between two blue flag sandy beaches complete with "Churinguitos" serving freshly caught fish and refreshments. The marina itself offers a wide variety of restaurants and bars serving the highest quality Spanish and international cuisine and at night time many of these establishments provide live musical entertainment to suit all tastes. Other facilities within the marina include banks, shops, gymnasium, beauty and hair salons.
Adjacent to Duquesa is the fishing town of Sabinillas with it's vast array of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The Sabinillas market is well worth a visit for all those seeking bargains. This takes place every Sunday morning.
Estepona is only a ten minute drive from Duquesa and is well worth visiting especially when their large market takes place on Wednesday mornings.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Duquesa. The flat is generously sized with all the kitchen equipment needed to enjoy alfresco dining on the large shaded terrace. However, if you do fancy eating out? The port has lots of restaurants and is just a 15min stroll. I highly recommend this comfortably furnished apartment (two bathrooms is a must for families) without hesitation.
In addition Peter (the owner) was excellent in supplying us with full driving directions (really needed when you arrive at Malaga airport in the evening when tired out!). And Kieran - the key holder - was with us within minutes of our call to let us into the apartment, etc.

My partner, 2 teenagers and my mum stayed at the Monte Duquesa apartment for 4 nights in August this year. The apartment is spotlessly clean and very spacious and accomodated the 5 of us quite comfortably. Friends of ours have an apartment in the Duquesa Village who we were meeting up with, but we found that our apartment was in a far more accesible location and much better positioned. It is really close to Kelly's Bar where you can get some great food, and there's also a Pizza Shop and a few more bars -all in less than a minutes walk from the apartment. There is a lovely pool on the complex with plenty of sunbeds. You most definitely need a car to get around the area, although there are plenty of taxi's in the Marina if you fancied a stroll down and a lift home. The Marina is beautiful with plenty going on... Lots of restaurants, bars and bistro's to enjoy the summer evenings and also lots of little stalls along the Marina front for jewellery etc. I would most definitely go back there - we had a fab time.

A most magnificent apartment for a summer vacation - especially with young children! We have stayed in this apartment for our last two vacations in Spain and initially selected it because it was at ground floor level- it actually turned out to be the best apartment we have ever stayed in! It is decorated to the highest standard with all the modern conveniences and luxuries of home. The apartment is in an excellent location - only a 10 minute leisurely stroll from the beautiful port of Puerto de la Duquesa (and that's with three small children!) The underground car-park is a god-send and a definite plus if you choose to rent this apartment. The swimming pool, in its wonderful surroundings, is a 2 minute walk away and you are always guaranteed to get a sun lounger!! I would have no hesitation in returning to this apartment next year and cannot recommend it highly enough - especially to anyone looking for a holiday apartment that's a home away from home!
