Home description
The apartment is furnished and decorated like a charming boutique hotel. It's the ideal place to spend a perfect week or two within easy reach of everything you want from Andalucia's beautiful Costa del Sol. Facing South West, and looking directly over the main pool, the terrace has sun almost all day, and enjoys some truly amazing sunsets - over a glass of Sangria or Cava of course.
It doesn't matter whether you're going for the golf (30 courses on the Costa del Sol), beaches (3 blue-flag beaches locally) or shopping (close to the designer boutiques of Marbella and Puerto Banus AND the factory outlets at Los Barios) you won't be more than half an hour's drive from it.
Put simply, if you are looking for a base that lives up to all its promises, you need look no further.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The Costa del Sol has come a long way since the overdevelopment of the 1960's and 70's. Today it is very strictly regulated, with height limits placed on all new building - Spain has realised it stands to benefit far more from attracting more discerning visitors than the hoardes it used to accommodate.
Besides wonderful beaches, great cuisine and a beautiful, year-round warm and sunny climate, the region offers cosmopolitan shopping, a lively nightlife and some of the very best golf in Europe.
But don't forget, the region of Andalucia is much more than just the Costa del Sol. A short drive inland revaels some beautiful old 'Pueblos Blancos' or 'white villages'. These centuries-old hillside communities - such as Ronda, Casares, Benhavia and Mijas Pueblo - have charm in abundance, and are often the best places of enjoy tradiational Spanish tapas.
As if Spain didn't offer enough, you can also spend a day in Tangiers by ferry, or go dolphin-watching in the Straits of Gibraltar, just a few minutes drive to the west.
Duquesa / Golf and gardens complex area
An area of the Spanish coast which avoided the development mistakes of towns to the east of Marbella, Duquesa is, in most opinions, the most beautiful little port in Andalucia. Traditional Spanish architecture has been sympathetically expanded to meet the new demand, resulting in old-world charm combined with all modern conveniences.
The port offers cuisine from all around the world, including Thai, Italian, Indian, Japanese and Chinese - there is even a Carvery for Sunday lunch. While local Spanish fayre is widely available in the port, a ten minute walk west along the promenade takes you to Duquesa Castillo, the older part of town, where you'll find many old family-run restaurants transforming fresh, locally-caught seafood and amazing cuts of Spanish beef into the most magical dishes.
Puerto Duquesa has a lively nightlife, with a selection of dockside bars. If you're looking for more of a buzz though, Estepona Port is a 15-minute drive or taxi ride away, and just quarter of an hour after that lies the clubs and bars of world-famous Puerto Banus and Marbella.
Daytime pursuits include watersports, cycling, horseriding and walking in the local area. Families will appreciate the theme parks of Selwo and Tivoli World, along with many other attractions within an hour's drive.
Golfers will love the area for its proximity to some of the best courses on the coast, including San Roque, Sotogrande, Estepona, Alacaides links and, of course, Duquesa itself, a very challenging courses by Robert Trent Jones.
