About the home

This luxurious, beautifully furnished end-townhouse is ideally situated. On a complex built on the Duquesa Golf course, it is only 5 minutes drive from the beautiful Puerto de la Duquesa (15 minutes walk). There is private parking, 3 terraces (one roof-top), 4 sunbeds, TV & DVD/CD player. There is air-conditioning throughout. The fully equipped kitchen has a washing machine & dishwasher. There are 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (1 en-suite). The complex has 2 swimming pools, 1 being directly opposite the accommodation.

The Costa del Sol region

The annual average temperature is around 21 degrees C and there are over 300 days of sunshine a year - it really is an all round holiday destination.It has become known as the 'Costa del Golf' as it boasts an abundance of golf courses. For walking enthusiasts, the area offers plenty of beautiful, scenic walks in the Andalucian countyside, Sierra Nevada mountains & Moorish towns, parks & gorges.

There are many beautiful, sandy beaches to choose from - some offering watersports, diving & boat trips.
For the children, there are amusement parks, a zoo & a safari park, to mention a few.Gibraltar is only 20 minutes away for great duty free shopping and amazing views from the Rock (with the famous monkeys).

The Duquesa / Golf and Gardens Complex area

Duquesa Golf & Country Club is a championship 18-hole course, ideal for professional & novice players. There are many golf courses to play - for further details visit www.andalucia.com/golf.

A 15 minute, easy walk into the port of Duquesa (Puerto de la Duquesa) will present you with a wide variety of restaurants, pubs, wine/cocktail bars and a couple of night clubs. Boat trips are available from the Marina. The beach at Duquesa is next to the Marina and has a beach bar & restaurant. There is plenty of free parking and a bank, cash machine and small supermarket is also situated there.

Sabinillas is 5 minutes drive away. It is a lovely town, with plenty of restaurants, bars & shops. It has plenty of parking available. The long, sandy beach is really good, with toilets and showers available.Marbella is 15 minutes drive away and offers plenty of shops, restaurants & night life. Puerto Banus is 15 minutes drive away and is worth visiting. There are good restaurants and night life. The sandy beach is lovely - there are sunbeds to hire and there is a beach bar/restaurant.

The beautiful, picturesque town of Ronda is 45 minutes away and offers traditional shops, beautiful scenery, walks, history & a bull-ring (with museum).The Sierra Nevada mountains are 2 hours away and is a good ski resort, offering ski hire, ski school and runs for all abilities. There are restaurants, bars and accommodation.

Gibraltar is easy to reach - 20 minutes - and is good for all of your duty free shopping and exploring the Rock with its famous monkeys.

Malaga airport is approximately 50 minutes drive away and serves numerous airlines, such as BMI baby (bmibaby.co.uk), EasyJet (easyjet.co.uk) & Monarch Airlines (flymonarch.com) to name a few. Gibraltar Airport is approximately 30 minutes away. You can also fly to Jerez Airport, offering an alternative airline, RyanAir - this airport is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes drive away.
Car hire is essential to get out and about and appreciate the beautiful areas of sight-seeing in the Costa Del Sol. A recommended car hire company is Crown Car Hire, which is situated at Malaga Airport, and can be pre-booked via the internet (crowncarhire.com). It is also possible to telephone them direct - good English is spoken.
It is easy to reach the accommodation - it is a fairly straight route using the motorway and good directions will be provided.

“outstanding” Fantastic accomodation and service from enquiry to the actual holiday. The owner couldnt have been more helpful. What a welcome pack beer tea coffeee biscuits we didnt expect that and a fantastic touch. We defo going again.

“Tranquil location with excellent facilities.” This three bedroom apartment had everything you needed. Well maintained with a fully equipted kitchen. The arrival package was icing on the cake.

“Nice house, good facilities, but you will need a car to get anywhere” The house itself was nice - good amenities and decently furnished, the complex was safe with two good size pools. The beach at Sabanillas was much nicer than Duquesa, with a promenade and restaurants on the beach front. Our only disappointment was that the location was a bit far from the restaurants/shops of Puerto Duquesa - more like a 25min walk from the house (downhill) - rather than the 15minutes expected - and much longer obviously on the return journey uphill. With young children its impossible as the road is poorly lit in places, with no pavement. Some decent restaurants in the port once you get there though!

Everything is really fabulous. You have a lovely home and it will be well looked after. Thank you for the welcome pack, it was very much appreciated.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for the use of your house at Duquesa Golf, its a fantastic place. We were very impressed with how immaculate it is and its facilities (aircon, dishwasher, washing machine, bathrooms etc) the fact that the beautiful pool is literally less than a stone's throw from the front door and how secure the complex is. We had a really great holiday and we are already talking about coming back next year.
