Luxury house on Duquesa golf course only minutes from marina and beach.
The property is 2 years old and in immaculate condition. It is situated on the Championship La Duquesa golf course which overlooks the Mediterranean with views out to North Africa and Gibraltar and is only 1½ miles from beautiful beaches around Duquesa. Therefore the whole family can enjoy sport, relaxation around the pool or the uncrowded beaches. Nightlife is provided in the bars in the port of Duquesa or the tranquil restaurants in the surrounding areas. It has a large roof solarium with a built-in barbeque for those long summer evenings. There is a small paved garden which is only about 50 ft from the pool and is shared with only 12 other properties. Car parking on the front of the house for 2 cars. The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
The climate on the costa del sol is good all year round with over 300 days of sunshine.
Gibraltar (25 minutes) with its rock and Barbary Apes lies west of Puerto de la Duquesa and is certainly worth a visit. Tarifa (45 minutes west), a famous windsurfing location has extensive golden beaches. The coastal drive to Tarifa offers the most spectacular views of the Straits of Gibraltar and Africa. Ronda (45 minutes inland) is a well known historical city on the white villages route. It has a spectacular bridge over a deep gorge and many beautiful buildings and monuments.
The mountain routes from and to La Duquesa are spectacular. Casares (10 minutes east) with its medieval castle, is a beautiful Andalusian hilltop village. Mijas white village, located just 8km off the coast is steeped in history dating back to Roman times. With its ancient walls, picturesque little squares and winding lanes, lined with restaurants and arts and crafts artisan shops, it has a truly charming atmosphere.
A 20-minute drive to Puerto Banus for designer shopping, a marina which houses mega yachts such as those owned by the Saudi royal family and a chance to dine out at some of the most exclusive restaurants in this part of Spain. Alternatively just take a drink at one of the many quayside bars and count the number of Ferraris, Maseratis and Bentleys that go by.
Estepona (about 15 minutes east) is another beautiful coastal town with an equestrian centre and riding school. It also boasts another sporting challenge at Estepona Golf.
Duquesa / Puerto de la Duquesa area
The port of la Duquesa is a truly beautiful location on the Costa del Sol, 10km west of Estepona and 25 minutes from Marbella. It is between two clean blue flag beaches, complete with beach bars, and seems a million miles away from the hustle and bustle you would normally expect from the Costa del Sol. The port boasts a wide choice of amenities including a supermarket, banks, butcher and a wide choice of affordable top class restaurants which include 2 Indian, 3 Chinese, 6 Italian, English and not forgetting Spanish cuisine. There is also a great Italian ice cream shop as well as boutiques and numerous bars.
How to get there
Flights to either Malaga or Gibraltar airports. Malaga is 1 hours drive via a toll motorway (not expensive) or take the scenic coast road for just a 15 minute longer drive.
Gibraltar is just a 25 minute drive once on the Spanish side.
