We have a working farm and equestrian centre with a modern purpose built guest house - so in July and August we are buzzing with youngsters on Summer Camps, but any other time you can have the place to yourself to enjoy riding and walking in the peaceful Meath countryside as we are open all year round.
We can cater for group bookings or individuals, hen weekends, or corporate team building trips. You may opt for self-catering in our fully fitted kitchen or talk to Amanda about a group full board package - and maybe even enjoy our very own prime Hereford beef!
If Horse Riding is not for you don't be put off - there are miles of peaceful woodland walks, golf at Killeen Castle literally on your doorstep, pottery classes at the Hill of Tara, fishing at Kilbeggan Lakes, and this is the perfect location to explore the Meath and the East of Ireland.
The house was built and completed in 2012 - so everything is modern and new. We have geothermal heating - so the inside temperature is pleasant all year round. Each bedroom sleeps 4 with ensuite shower and WC, with huge windows, the house has fantastic views over the green Meath countryside. All the accomodation is in bunk beds - so it is a perfect place for a family holiday, school reunion, hen weekend or team building activity holiday.

We are only 30 minutes from Dublin, but in the heart of the Irish countryside - a car is highly recommended for site-seeing (but the 109 Dublin bus 1km walk away). We can also provide airport transfers from/to Dublin airport in our 16 seater mini-bus.
There is an indoor games room in the basement with ping-pong, table football, CD player and board games.
See our website at www.rmec.ie for more photos and information about our Horse Riding, Golf and English Language Courses.

"friendly welcome, beautiful scenery and loads for kids to do"
We would highly recommend staying at the Royal Meath Equestrian centre - my partner and I took kids in February and we had a really lovely welcome from Amanda and Ronnie and their children. The surrounding countryside is stunning and perfect for long walks - it's only 30 mins from Dublin but seems much further into the countryside! Since we stayed outwith the main season we were able to book lessons with the riding school very easily and the children had one to one instruction - which they adored! We only stayed for a couple of days which wasn't long enough - we will certainly book for longer next time!
