The Western Australia / Australia's South West region
Australia is one of the oldest continents, with Australia’s South West having an Aboriginal history spanning more than 50,000 years, while European settlement dates only from the early 19th century but now has world-class wineries. The Mediterranean-style climate and rich fertile soils provided just the right environment for growing grapes, and a variety of wine styles and blends are produced, from complex cool-climate cabernets to elegant dry chardonnays.
The warm, sunny summers provides perfect beach weather with a maximum temperature of around 32 degrees Celsius, and winters are pleasantly cool and mild with an average of 14 degrees Celsius.
All these advantages have developed for Australia’s South West a reputation for world-class food and wine combined with an outdoor lifestyle, and provide a fascinating contrast of countryside, cultures, and activities.

Our famiily of 5 grown up people had an excellent stay one week in Freebridge Glades. We had just nothing to complain about! We also appreciated the view to the kenguroos in the golf park just outside the windoms. Nice and quiet area. |
