Keeper's Cottage is a self-catering holiday cottage with Wi-Fi in the Scottish Borders situated in the former stables at Wedderburn Castle, close to Duns. Other nearby attractions in the area include stunning beaches such as Coldingham and Bamburgh, fishing on the Tweed and Whiteadder and golf on a selection of local courses, as well as a wide variety of rural walks and cycle rides around local natural beauty spots. There is also a golf driving range and children's soft play area within easy walking distance.

Keeper's Cottage is a stylish, charming property which has recently been renovated to a high standard. The spacious dining-kitchen has a farmhouse table and chairs for family dining, stone walls, a traditional fireplace and decorative range and a fully-equipped modern kitchen, complete with large Smeg fridge.
The sitting room has a stone fireplace with wood-burning stove, large flat-screen television with digital channels and comfortable sofas for kicking back in front of the fire. There are wooden floorboards and antique floor tiles throughout the ground floor of the cottage, with the floorboards cut from a single ancient ash tree that grew beside the castle and fell in a storm.
The first floor has two bedrooms: one double and another with a double and single bed that can be used as a double or twin room. The double bedroom has an oak-frame bed and en-suite bathroom with luxurious 1.8m bath and rain shower, limestone tiling and wooden floors. The second bedroom has a private bathroom with antique roll-top bath for long soaks after country walks. Both bedrooms are furnished in a charming cottage style.
There is oil central heating throughout the property. All towels, bathrobes and linen are provided, along with complimentary Gilchrist and Soames toiletries.

Keeper's Cottage is located in the former stables of Wedderburn Castle. It is surrounded by formal parkland, private driveways and woodland offering attractive walks and views of the Cheviot hills.
The property has a cottage garden with garden furniture and grass lawn, making it perfect for relaxing on a summer day or evening and for BBQs. The garden is surrounded by striking mature trees and is filled with seasonal plants and shrubs and a selection of herbs for cooking.

The Borders has a dramatic history and Duns is an ideal base to explore both the east and west borders. Nearby historic houses and sites include Manderston and Mellerstain, Hume Castle, Floors Castle, Kelso Abbey, Smailholm Tower, Norham Castle, Paxton House, Coldingham Priory and Ladykirk Church.
Duns is a thriving market town in the Scottish Borders offering a selection of high-quality local shops – bakery, delicatessen, greengrocer, chemist, coffee and gift shops – and a small supermarket.
The nearest station is Berwick-upon-Tweed which is serviced by both the East Coast Mainline and Cross Country trains from the west of the country. The cottages are a 20 minute drive or taxi ride from Berwick-upon-Tweed and cars can easily be rented in Berwick.
Edinburgh and Edinburgh airport are also an easy drive from Duns, taking approximately 1hr.
