Behind the cottage up the old lane the Cotswold scarp crowned with massive beach trees was the inspiration for William Smith's discovery of modern geology. Wonderful walks and views

"Great for Romantic weekend - small but perfectly formed!"
Have just spent a week at this cottage using it as a base to explore area around Bath. The cottage is very small but has been designed so everything fits remarkably well. Very cute decor and would be great for a couple on a romantic break. Would be a squeeze for 4 adults unless you were out alot. Takes about 15 mins to drive to Bath or bus is very easy and stop is just outside cottage.
The cottage is 20m from a busy road and does suffer from traffic noise through the night - you don't notice it during the day. Also if you have a large car you will struggle to drive up the tiny uphill lane to the side of the cottage in order to turn around (i had a VW Polo and was scared!!) Try and get there during daylight or you will struggle to see it.
This nice lady actually found the parking hard because of entering the wrong way off the main road which makes it very difficult indeed! We always send out access and parking details which are easy to follow. There is a simple way to get to the cottage round the back and no one else has found it hard or encountered any difficulty.
