The Tayside/Perthshire region

This region has a contrasting landscape of lochs, mountains, forests and coastline and it's therefore no coincidence that it's one of the most popular holiday destinations in Scotland. Its popularity is easy to understand when you consider the mouth watering attractions within its boundaries; which include the beautiful Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park in the west and the wonderful forests, mountains and rivers which are characteristic of Tayside and Perthshire to the east. The city of Stirling can also be found in this area, with its rich historical significance in Scottish history and connections to William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. The beautiful and unique coastlines here, both on the west coast and east coast, are ideal holiday destinations. Stretching in the west from Oban in the north down to Strathclyde and the Ayr coast, and in the east the coast extends from Dundee and Angus south the along the Fife coast to Edinburgh.

Located in the Perth and Kinross area of Scotland, The Old Kirk is perfect for those looking to explore the many sights and attractions waiting to be found. Renowned as ‘The Big Tree Country', one of Britain's tallest trees stands at over 64 metres tall in the Hermitage grounds and forms part of some of the most stunning landscapes in all of Scotland. As well as fantastic natural surroundings, there are also a number of enticing activities on offer ranging from watersports on its many rivers and lochs, to bungee jumping at Pitlochry. For a more relaxing time, there are wide ranging attractions to see like the award winning Scottish Crannog Centre, a unique reconstruction of an Iron-Age loch dwelling giving guided tours and the chance to see what life was like 2500 years ago.
