The Donegal region

County Donegal is in Irelands North West Atlantic Coastline, offering spectacular scenery throughout.

The Sea Cliffs at Sliabh Liag are amazing and among the highest in Europe.

Glenveagh National Park encompasses some16,000 hectares in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains. Such a great wilderness is the haunt of many interesting plants and animals, including it own herd of Irish Red Deer, Castle, Visitors Centre and Gardens.

Deserted Beaches and Coves, quaint little villages, offering their own particular charm, pubs and restaurants where you will meet the uncomparable hospitality of the local population.

Dungloe offers numerous Cafes, Restaurants and Pubs. Take stroll down Main Street and make your way to the town pier which looks out towards the islands of Inishfree, Rutland and Arranmore.

Many towns throughout Co. Donegal celebrate their local community festival during the Summer months.

The MARY From Dungloe International Festival has been welcoming visitors from all over the World since 1967.

The festival has grown in popularity over the years and now regularly attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the area. It includes a constant stream of entertainment along with a carnival, live concerts, nightly street music, kids events and much much more.

Dungloe also celebrates one its famous local sons Daniel O'Donnell and recently opened a Visitor Centre dedicated to the singer

Take a short drive out of town to Maghery Strand and the spectacular Crohy Head.

A few minutes up the road is the village of Burtonport, with its famous Seafood Restaurants. Leave the car behind and catch the Ferry over to Arranmore Island for a day's walking with a difference. Sit over a pint of Guinness while waiting for the return Ferry.

Dooey Beach with its Dunes and endless miles of White Sand, Glenveagh National Park with its Fairytale Castle, Glencolumbcille, and Sliabh Liag, which are among Europe's Highest Sea Cliffs, are all well worth a visit.
