The Donegal region
The county of Donegal is located in the far north-west of Ireland. The Irish culture and language are strong here with one third of the people speaking the native tounge. Traditional music plays a strong role in pub entertainment.
The many miles of indented coastline offer spectacular views of dramatic cliffs and uncluttered beaches. The interior is made up of glens and mountains-notably the Blue Stack and the Derryveagh mountains.
There is something for everyone in this beautiful area, from horseback riding to golf, from browsing around the local art galleries to taking leisurely strolls along the magnificent beaches.
In this beautiful part of Donegal - Killahoey in Dunfanaghy, Port-na-blagh, Marble Hill and Ards - there are many beautiful beaches that attract sunbathers, familes, fishermen and surfers.
Dunfanaghy area
This ia an ideal destination for a family break or romantic getaway! With activities such as golf, horse-riding, fishing, beach or hill walking, cycling or surfing there is much to keep everyone, of all ages, very busy.
The village of Dunfanaghy - and the nearby village of Port-na-Blagh - are popular tourists resorts with lively pubs and a good choice of award winning restaurants.
Savour the beauty of the coutryside from every window within the house. Should you venture out, you can enjoy the magnificent, yet quiet beaches on your doorstep at Tramore, Killahoey, Marble Hill and Ards Forest Park which are all a short drive away.
Why not take a day trip on the boat to our gem of a view, Tory Island? You may even be met on arrival by the Island's King, Patsy Dan Rogers.
Climb Muckish Mountain, go fishing at Sessiagh or Port Lakes or enjoy sea angling off Port-Na-Blagh harbour.
Pamper yourself to luxurious beauty treatments in a nearby spa.
Take a drive around the numerous, stunning scenic routes from the splendour of the Atlantic Drive to the rugged beauty of Bloody Foreland.
