Caravan/Mobile Home | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Then why not take the perfect sunshine holiday in our home on the west coast of Florida . . . just walking distance to the beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico?
We are situated in Honeymoon Park, an over-55 complex in Dunedin, just outside Clearwater.
We have a modern luxury 2-bedroom manufactured home with spacious bedrooms, one ensuite, the second bathroom with shower over bath. Large Florida room. Fully-equipped kitchen. Lounge with TV and video. Car port and patio area.
Honeymoon Park has its own covered swimming pool and there is the opportunity to shuffleboard and take part in other community activities.
If you fancy cruising - all at reasonable prices in the USA, around £253 or 300 euros for a four-day visit to the Carribean - then you can leave from Tampa (an hour's drive), from Fort Lauadale (four hour drive) or Miama (5 hour drive).
As an alternative you could take a short 4-day break to Fort Myres or other resorts along the east coast, where the hotel and resturant prices are very reasonable.
Or what about a 3-day bus tour. We've been on a few to such places as Savannah and St Augustine. The tours are well organised with top class hotel accommodation, good food and an exciting itinery. .
About an hour away is Wishee Washy ( we just love these quaintly-named Americn towns) where you can spend a few hours on the river watching the manatees.

The Florida region
You name it, it's all there . . .from theme parks to everlasting sunshine, from nature reserves to an abundance of festivals.
Orlando is only a few hour's drive away where you can sample the delights of Disney World (yes, even for us grown-ups, and this time without the kids!) and the outstanding shopping malls.
Or you can take a visit further down the West coast to places like St Peterburg, Treasure Island and Sarasota, all of these places offering golden beaches, top resturants . . .and and interesting history.
Travelling north from our home, and only seven miles away, is Tarpon Springs, centre of the Greek community, where you can experience dolphin sighting and watch sponges being brought in by local divers.
On the East coast take a bus or car journey to Savannah, a beautiful town with an unsurpassed history. Remember "Forest Gump"? Well, that's where the film was located.
Now, a visit to our home would not be complete without a cruise. And for the Europens the price is right. You can leave from Tampa, half and hour down the road, for the Caribbean for say a four-day trip for less than $400. We should know beacuse we've lost count of the numbers of times we have sailed to placs like the Bhamas, Cozumel
There's so much to see and do and, down below, you can se what the local area has to offer.
The quaint town centre of Dunedin is a leisurerly stroll along the Pinellas Trail from our house. Apart from the high nmber of antique shops, there are restuarants to suit all tastes. During the week there is a Farmers' Market with fresh fruit and vegetables for sale. Depending on the time of year, the town centre is a hive of activity with Craft Fairs, Music performances and open cinema.
