This luxurious 2 bedroom property with sea views is located in the beautiful and tranquil village of Dundrum. A great place to relax and enjoy all it has to offer, this location is perfect for families, friends, golfing, cycling and walking enthusiasts.
You will be spoilt for choice for stunning places to visit, within walking distance you can visit the ancient ruins of Dundrum Castle offering stunning views over the sea and Mourne Mountains. Equally a short distance walk is Murlough Nature Reserve where you will find a network of paths and boardwalks through sand dunes, woodland and heath from where you will see an array of butterflies and wild flowers, as well as access to one of the finest beaches in Co. Down. It is an excellent area for walking and bird watching due to its spectacular location at the edge of Dundrum Bay and the Mourne Mountains.
Dundrum is home to award winning restaurants, such as the Buck's Head and Mourne Seafood Restaurant situated on the main street. Always advisable to book ahead.
The town of Newcastle is just five miles along the coast road and is nestled at the foot of the Mournes, where you will find an array of shops, supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants notably Villa Vinci, Italian Restaurant and Nikkis Cafe for a great coffee and sweet. Newcastle is also home to the world renowned golf course, The Royal County Down, where the world's top golfers have played. You can hike from here up to Slieve Donard, the highest peak in the Mourne mountain range, passing waterfalls and outstanding terrain with spectacular scenery from the top.
If this is too much, you can walk through Tollymore Forest Park, with its marked trails and also, home to the filming of 'Game of Thrones'. If walking is not your thing, why not take a mountain bike through the trails in Castlewellan Forest Park or go kayaking in the lake. Life Adventure Centre are based here and have a range of activities on offer.
The capital city of Belfast is a 45 minute drive away, where you will find plenty of shopping (Victoria Square) eateries, restaurants and bars. The Cathedral Quarter is a very popular area within Belfast for a wealth of places to eat or drink. Home to the famous Titanic, why not visit the Titanic Museum, discover where the ship was built and go on a journey of reflection and relive the story of Titanic through the eyes of those whose lives were shaped by her journey.
