Dunbar is frequently one of the most sunniest places in Scotland.

THE LOUNGE IS VERY COMFORTABLE, COSY AND INVITING. The log fire is available by request, and can add to the traditional atmosphere. Hours can be spent wathing the birds on both the large front lawn and private rear gardens.
The kitchen is a very relaxing room - most people enjoy hours just sitting by the table and watching the birds in both front and rear gardens.
The batroom is high quality, spacious and very warm!!
The bedrooms accommodate 2 adults comfortably. (Sofa bed -double provided in lounge). Additionally, a cot (baby bed) can be provided next to the main bedroom - PLEASE CONFIRM SPECIFIC NEEDS WITH OWNER PRIOR TO BOOKING/OCCUPANCY.
The ceilings on the upper floor are mostly coombed, with exposed beams, dormer and velux windows.
The bedrooms have a rustic charm with sanded and stained wooden floors. All bed linen (Egyptian Cotton) - is provided as are towels.
Both bedrooms have a central heating radiator.
All windows are double glazed.
Adequate provision of power sockets.
The smaller bedroom overlooks the main lawn to the front of the property and the larger bedroom overlooks the rear garden.
The gallery can easily accommodate a cot (baby bed) next door to the larger bedroom.
The floors are sanded with rugs.

Bring walking shoes to access the the immediate walking area and to allow you to observe the wildlife!!

To the front is a very large garden with a well kept lawn and is surrounded by shrub borders.
The rear and side gardens secure for pets.

The log fire is available by prior notice. Inexperienced users of open fires sometimes struggle to have a good fire - please make sure are safe and happy to use before requesting.
Free landrover tour of the surrounding coastal and country is included if you wish.
Smokers are welcome - to use the garden, internally is no smoking.

There are plenty of attractions and festivals in Edingburgh for you to visit including:
The Beautiful Edinburgh castle, The bustling princes street, the famous Hogmanay party, the royal mile, the popular Fringe Festival, which attracts people from all nationalities and the film festival which is all only 20 minutes by train.
Why not visit the castles which have some beautiful architecture, the lovely beaches, championship golf courses, museum of flight, concorde, Scottish seabird centre, fishing, Scottish borders, or even the Harry Potter castle - Hogwarts only a 40 minute drive!!

The Dunbar area

There is lots of exciting things to do in Dubar. You can visit the John muir birthplace and learn all about him.
There are also plenty of museums with lots of history to learn about.

The local country parks have beautiful scenery and are great to walk around where you can even do some bird watching and wildlife spotting. Visit the infamous bass rock or go windsurfing on the local beaches. You can even try you hand at sailing or diving.
Visit the local nature reserves, historical buildings and castles.

“Carefree and relaxing holiday with many different options of things to do easily availible” Very well presented and equiped cottage with the owners going the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. The friendly and knowledgeable Dougie and Christine were helpful and free with advice and suggestions about places and attractions in the area. We went to so many places and saw so much I could not mention it all. The R.I.B. trip from North Berwick out to the Bass Rock was, for us, a amazing experience, wet, salty,cold and fast, but to see(and smell) 120,000 Gannets wheeling and diving around us was unforgettable. Another day was spent in Edinburgh where the Museum took up two thirds of the day and we did not see it all. Response: Nice people who liked the cottage very much. Hopeully the start of many more reviews on this - our new site, our other site has many reviews. many thanks Dougie
