Acorn is a luxurious cottage which sleeps two. This modern holiday accommodation offers you a range of popular holiday options throughout the year: relaxing long weekend breaks; and welcome mid- week breaks as well as full week holidays, starting any day of the week.
Acorn holiday accommodation is fully wheel chair accessible with extra wide doors and no steps inside or outside.
Acorn's south facing lounge has a circular glass dining table and French doors leading to decked patio with bistro furniture and garden.
The spacious ground floor bedroom has a Super King size bed which can be presented as two full size single beds of requested.
The designer en-suite wet room has shower, WC and washbasin with under-floor heating that warms the non-slip floor nicely. The fully wheelchair accessible shower can be operated from any level. In addition, we are able to provide, on request, a height adjustable shower seat and left or right handed support bars around the WC. Just let us know your needs and we will prepare everything to ensure you have a luxury holiday home that feels good for you.
The kitchen is well equipped and includes induction hob, microwave oven and grill, fridge and washing machine. The work surfaces are at two levels, with wheelchair accessible sink with lever tap and lower level wall units for easy access. The induction hob and combination oven, microwave grill, can be repositioned around the kitchen for ease of use if required.
Full central heating, hot water and electricity are included in the price. Linen, bath sheets , bath towels, hand towels, bath mats and tea-towels are all provided.
If you have a bigger family group why not book Alder next door, for groups of three to six. Alteratively, for groups of seven to nine, consider booking both Acorn and Alder and we can open up a connecting corridor to provide one large family holiday cottage. There are lots of things to do in Dumfries & Galloway: an area loved for its great golf courses, walking, cycling and beautiful historic attractions.
Acorn sits right in the heart of the village of Clarencefield on the B724 in South West Scotland. Clarencefield village has its own castle: Comlongon Castle- a Premier Wedding Venue; its own 16th Century Coaching Inn, the Farmers Inn, serving real ales and pub grub; a world- famous historic monument: an 7th Century, 18 ft Anglo Saxon carved stone preaching cross: The Ruthwell Cross.
The village is surrounded by lovely wooded walks. Within 7 miles are Dalton Pottery, Robbie Burns Brow Well, the Solway Coast, Caerlaverock Castle and Bird Reserve, and Drummuir Farm, producers of award winning Scottish Dairy Ice Cream.
There are plenty of shops nearby in Annan, Dumfries, Lockerbie and Gretna, and Tesco.com can deliver to the door!
