Keepers is an old stone cottage benefiting from a large garden with 360° views. Well appointed internally with original whitewashed stone walls and underfloor heating on tiled floor throughout. Multi fuel stove in the living room with TV/DVD and music centre as well as games and books for adults and children. The large centre-of-the-universe kitchen is perfect for everyone to catch up. The twin room has it’s own balcony with stunning sea views and steps down to the garden. Internally the house is all on one level, very child and toddler friendly ( we also have a cot and highchairs and children's kitchenware). Perfect for families or couples, Adventurous types or those in need of some time out.
Nestled in the hills over Luce Bay with far reaching views Keepers is a quiet and peaceful a haven for families or couples. Only 2 miles (walk, cycle or car) to Glenluce, an old pretty rural village with stores, restaurants, post office and swimming pool.
There will be plenty to keep you busy- from plentiful golf courses, great walking, biking, beautiful beaches, stunning open gardens including a Botanic Garden.

The South/Borders region
In the most South westerly corner of Scotland, Glenluce has a warm and temperate climate enhanced by the Gulf Stream making picnics, crabbing and swimming on the beach a fun day out. Galloway has 200 miles of dramatic coastline and the area is steeped in history, Burns and Sir walter scott, some of the earliest Christian sites, and of course the castles.
There is every conceivable outdoor sport within walking or driving distance of the house. Over 30 golf courses with Turnberry and Royal Troon about 1 hours drive.
Day visits to Ireland, Glasgow and the Ayrshire coast with connections ot the islands,makes this a great spot.
Dumfries and Galloway / Glenluce area
The 900 year old Glenluce Abbey is at the end of the road and the Southern Upland Way passes approx 1 ½ miles away. 300 sq miles of Galloway Forest Park is a short drive with 7 stanes cycling and hill/woodland walking, deer park and adventure park and activities for the kids. There is an abundance of golf courses, the closest being a links course approx 3 miles away or upgrade to Turnberry 45 mins away. If that’s all too energetic enjoy our 200 miles of dramatic coastline with our mild climate washed by the Gulf Stream in turn helping to create many beautiful gardens the most famous being the National Logan Botanical garden.
-Glenluce Abbey (end of the road) -Wigtown, Scotland's Book town (30 mins drive), Literary festivals -Horse Driving trials, agricultural shows, food festivals and art exhibtions run throughout the year. -Galloway Forest Park, 300 sq miles, known as the ' Highlands of the Lowlands' Britain's largest forest park -The Southern Upland Way is Scotland's longest walk. It stretches west to east from Portpatrick's romantic seascapes over the Mull of Galloway to the dramatic North Sea cliffs at Cocksburnspath and it passes 1 1/2 miles from Keepers cottage. Pick up and drop off available. -Mull of Galloway, Scotland's most southerly point. Breathtaking views over to Isle of Man and a glass tea room!
