Cairnlea is a spacious detached cottage with a master bedroom with en suite shower room, 2 twin bedrooms and a family bathroom, with full modern white suite including shower over bath and a shaver point. There is a fully equipped kitchen with separate dining area and a comfortable sitting room with a living flame gas fire.The location feels remote from the outside world but is only a 10 minute drive to the border town of Newton Stewart where shops pubs tearooms and restaurants etc are available.About 400 metres away is the Kirroughtree Visitor Centre with an adventure playground, tearoom and information.Thisi s the starting point for many waymarked forest trails and the famous 7 Stanes Mountain Biking trails.Within easy driving distances there are beaches, golf courses, fishing lochs and rivers, hill walks, nature and RSPB reserves and much more.

The kitchen is newly equipped with stainless steel appliances including a double oven, 5 ring hob,built under fridge and dishwasher and there is ample storage spaceThe separate dining room with extendable oval pine table and chairs There is a separate utility room with automatic washer and belfast sink , clothes dryer , small chest freezer, and modern combi boiler which provides central heating and constant hot water.A tumble Dryer is located in the attached Garage.
Thecomfortable lounnge has a living flame gas fire, ample seating,a radio/cassette/CD player, a26" LCD TV, vcr and DVD player. A limited supply of videos, DVDs, Books and games are left in the cotage.
Decor is clean and floors are carpetted or laminated

There is an enclosed private garden with a lawn and terraced flower beds. The main feature of the garden are the constant visits from a variety of small birds and the occasional sparrow hawk,  together with red squirrels.Garden furniture is provided.There is secure parking for several cars and a secure bike store.

We stayed at Cairnlea from 1st April - 7th AprilWhat a lovely spacious comfortable bungalow in the most delightful rural setting. Lovely walks , peace and quiet , wildlife etc.We saw a woodpecker and many other birds on the feeders in the garden and stags rutting on the hills in the distance.  Absolutely fabulous.  It was everything we want on holiday and moreAccommodation excellent,scenery beautiful. Private nature reserve a constant delightCairnlea must be one of the best hidden treasures we have discovered.Now we have found it we intend to visit many times.A1 accommodation, wild life abundant, bike trails fantastic, deer park a must, Stroan Loch fishing excellent.We've had a fantastic holiday. the forest walks are so beautiful. We loved watching the red squirrels in the garden. A perfect holiday location.We had a really wonderful Christmas. The cottage looked beautiful and welcoming. The scenery was stunning and we really enjoyed our forest walks  This was a Christmas we will never forget and to cap it all it snowed on Christmas Day. Brilliant !
