"Brilliant holiday"

This is the second time we have stayed first stay was in The Stables this time we stayed in The Smithy, all the cottages are lovely Mavis and Paul couldnt be better host and hostess they are a really friendly and helpfull couple. It was my birthday while there and Mavis kindly baked me a birthday cake. The whole place is peaceful and tranquil and relaxing. The ducks come and greet you when you awake in the morning they are a little bit cheeky and would come through the door if you let them, The cottage have everything you would need for your holiday, cozy and welcoming,we will be going back again next year. I would advise if you want peace and quiet try it as you cant go wron

"Never fails to recharge the batteries"

We have been numerous times and have stayed in The Smithy, The Stables, The Granary and one of the caravans. Each time the accommodation has been spotlessly clean and there is nothing that we need that is not readily available. Deri Fawr's central location means you are never far away from the wonderful beaches, coastal walks, and many other of the Islands landmarks. Paul and Mavis are the perfect host and hostess, with lots of recommendations of places to visit. On the days when perhaps you don't feel like going out the gardens are the perfect place to spend the day lounging on one of the plentiful garden chairs surrounded by the flowers and planters that Mavis so painstakingly and lovingly prepares each year, and the ducks are the perfect companions!! Deri Fawr has become our home from home and we consider Paul and Mavis to be part of our family and it's always a wrench when we have to leave, and that's why it's always so important to leave a deposit and book our next visit before we leave!

"Beautiful, peacful and very comforable"

We stayed during the Easter week in the Smithy at Deri Fawr. From arriving to leaving it was a total de-stress. The surroundings are not only beautiful but very peaceful. Just what we needed after a very busy 3 months since Christmas. We stayed in The Smithy which was comfortable and had everything you could possbily need to make it a real home from home holiday.

"A Great Time at Deri Fawr!"

My wife and I spent a lovely week in august 2012 at Deri Fawr. We stayed in one of the caravans and our parents stayed in the other van. The vans are both spacious, clean and well equipped, and also sited for privacy. Deri Fawr is a lovely place to stay, well away from any main roads in the heart of the Anglesey countryside, there is never any traffic noise in the area which makes for a very peaceful and relaxing stay. There are large grounds which guests are free to explore which are well maintained and are a dream for anyone who loves fauna and flora. A summer house and the ponds are a lovely tranquil place to relax and one does not have to sit long before a wealth of local wildlife will show itself. You will often see ducks 'quacking' around, and they are always hungry for some bread! It is a great place to go bird watching, with Mavis and Paul the proprietors very knowledgeable on the subject, and always able to advice on the species that are currently in the area. The site has very dark night skies and is a great place for astronomy, with many more stars visible than in the towns and cities, the milky way is easily visible with the naked eye from Deri Fawr. Deri Fawr is a great base for a walking holiday, only a few miles away from the Anglesey coastal path, with Mavis and Paul able to offer advice on the best routes for people of all abilities and interests. Despite being in the heart of the countryside, Deri Fawr is about 45 minutes walk from 2 local pubs, both offering meals, and is only a short drive from local conveniences offering food shopping, newsagents and places to eat. There is a frequent bus service again only 45 minutes walk away offering connections to Holyhead, Bangor and beyond. All in all we had a great time and would recommend anyone stay at Deri Fawr, we will certainly be going back again!
